    July 24, 2023, I hired Breakthrough Builders LLC to install 2 cupolas on my roof to seal existing openings left due to removal of 2 old chimneys. Owner, Travis ******* arrived almost 2 hours late, just before 11:00 am, so I asked that he install at least 1 cupola, to which he agreed. I had available to him prebuilt cupolas & all materials he stated would be required for the installation of those cupolas, with exception of plywood which was required to construct bases for the cupolas to be fitted to my roof as well as to the cupolas themselves. Mr. ****** had previously agreed to provide the needed plywood. Mr. ****** began the installation by removing the roofing patch & preparing opening for the cupola. After the prep work had been completed, he stated that he had not brought the plywood & would have to go home to get it. He returned with a wood material but no plywood explaining that the material he brought would hold up better in the elements than chipboard (although we had discussed plywood - not chipboard). During the construction work of the base, I did question several times his techniques as I did not understand. He assured me that his construction techniques were solid & reliable. At some point during his work, I questioned Mr. ****** about the levelness of the cupola to which he replied that "yes" it was level. He completed the work after 9:00 pm and it was dark outside. I paid him cash $150.00 payment he required & gave him another $50 for the removal of an antiquated cable from the roof. The next morning (7/25/23) daylight, I was shocked to find cupola base was NOT level, shims were used leaving gaps, & caulk had been applied to fill in other gaps in his construction leaving my house exposed to potential water damage. I contacted him right away with my complaints & through facebook messenger he agreed to refund $150.00 "Asap" "towards middle of end this coming week". I still have not received agreed refund & he is now no longer responding.
