    I have been trying to cancel my Curves Membership since July of 2023. I have communicated to cancel and filled out the forms and she was still drafting money out of my account. I had to go to my Bank and stop payment for Curves. Since then she is sending me a bill trying to get me to pay for months after I

    Find enclosed all documentation relating to this matter.
    Contacts are signed at inception of all memberships that specify 'A minimum of 12 consecutive months is required.'
    The documentation of texts shows engagement in membership beyond the July 2023 date as stated.
    Documentation of date on envelope shows receipt of her
    Cancellation request which was VOID due to her '12 month' signed
     
    Membership commitment. We received no attempt at cancellation prior to this and no documentation was provided by Patron to confirm.
    You can clearly see that the amount is due in full based upon all signed documentation by the Patron.

    I previously had signed up for a gym membership to Curves. I used that membership for several months but due to medical advice and time constraints I could no longer make use of my membership. I have communicated to the owner that I needed to discontinue my membership since May 2023 (even though she was aware I had not been able to use the gym for several months before that. I have communicated this verbally and was in writing and by completing the forms she requested and still she continues to charge for membership. Today I received a nearly $1000 bill for past due and continuing membership. I have attempted to reach out to the Curves Corporation but was told that it had to be addressed locally. At this point I don’t know how to get this resolved without involving the BBB. I would note that I attempted to locate the business information on the WV Secretary of State and could not locate any such information.

    Also access to my online account was taken away by the local owner so that I cannot access or change my membership online.

    Contracts are signed at inception of all memberships that specify
    'A 30 day written notice of cancellation is required.'

    The envelope clearly shows the date of receipt of the 'written notice of cancellation'. She revoked her August and September 2023 Fee whereby we were charged $35 on these three different transactions by one of our billing entities. A notice for “Medical Hold” was never submitted/ received.

    You can clearly see that the amount is due in full based upon all signed documentation by the Patron.
