Sometime during the week of July 25th, I sent an email out to Skyline Solar through their online "contact" portal, requesting their "manufacturer recommended snow/ice guards" at the request of my rain gutter installation sales coordinator (due to the heavy snowfall last year that slid off the panels and ripped the gutter out from the roof). I waited two weeks and received no response.
Next, on August 8th, I found a customer service email for Skyline Solar and emailed them directly regarding the same request. This time, I received a prompt response that same day stating that someone would be "reaching out shortly." I still hadn't heard anything by the next day so I tried calling their customer service number but all it did (after hearing it's business greeting and pushing the number for "present or former customers" is ring forever with no voice message or ability to leave a message. So I emailed through the general customer service email again and received a prompt response that same day thanking me for my patience and that they were working on getting an answer for me. [To be fair, the last email stated that this was not a "typical install" but that they were still researching my request and would get back to me.]
And then as of August 15th (a week later), I still had not received a response so I called the customer service number and this time I did receive a voice message that allowed me to leave a message. . . and I am still waiting for a response from via email or phone. [It is now August 30th.]
In short, Skyline Solar was very responsive when I was interested in purchasing their solar panels but they demonstrated very clearly that they were not interested in maintaining the relationship once their panels were installed. For this reason, this would cause me to warn prospective customers not to purchase their solar panels.
