I went to Ammco to get a radiator flush for $89 the owner told me he could save me money if they could diagnose it well in the end I paid $180 and that's not saving me money. I told the owner I wasn't going to pay that much so he told his mechanic ( put it back together and don't seal it F him) exact words. So I had to call the police to get my vehicle, I paid the $180 to get it when I should have been charged the $89 for the radiator flush. My vehicle is running worse than when I dropped it off as I believe they never did seal it up.
    Need someone's help please

    Kyle brought his vehicle
in stating that he needed a cooling system flush and how much was it going to
cost him. He was told that the flush runs $89 dollars up to 2 gallons of
coolant. We asked him what is going on with the vehicle that he believes needs
to have the coolant flush performed. Kyle then explained that he had it overheating
on him going 65 mph, so he replaced the thermostat in it and now it’s
overheating just going through town. AAMCO recommended to Kyle to do a VCC (Vehicle
Courtesy Check) on the vehicle a NO CHARGE so we can have Certified Technician
do some basic checks on the issue he is having as we don’t want to just do
something that may or may not fix his problem just has, he has done with the
thermostat. Which may save him some money.
Kyle agreed to the VCC. The Tech then performed the VCC, and the coolant
and radiator looked fine, no signs of being clogged up. Kyle was then
approached with an estimate to perform trouble shooting on the cooling system
as nothing showed up on the VCC. The Estimate give to Kyle was for $155 pretax
shop supplies to trouble shoot the overheating issue.  Kyle authorized the estimate, and the tech
performed the trouble shooting.  The findings
of the troubleshooting were that the Thermostat that Kyle had installed was not
installed correctly and not the correct thermostat. Who ever installed the
thermostat used aftermarket and used silicone to seal it. Which all made the
thermostat not open. This was brought to Kyles attention, and he originally approved
the estimate for the thermostat and then realized he didn’t have the funds for the
repair. He tried several financing options that are offered here at AAMCO and had
been denied by them. He then demanded that we put the car back together which
we were doing so, and he became very belligerent and made a scene threatening
to call the cops and that he is not paying for anything. Randy (owner) told
Kyle that he authorized the repairs and that he needs to at least pay for that
amount. Kyle just got going and threatened us. Randy told the Tech to get it
back together and leave it in the shop tell we get paid. Kyle proceeded to come
back and said he is going to pay by credit card and Randy Informed him that we
are not accepting his credit card and that he must pay by cash now after being
so belligerent. Kyle stammered out of the office screaming FUCK AAMCO!!
    While Kyle was gone the
Police showed up and reviewed the paperwork and said that Kyle has to pay and
that we did nothing wrong. They waited for Kyle to come back and explained to Kyle
that he needed to pay before getting his vehicle back. Kyle then paid and
stated that he called AAMCO Corporate and that they told him to pay his bill
and they will pay him back. We took Kyles payment and released the vehicle back
to him.  Randy Called AAMCO Corporate and
they said Kyle Called left message but when they tried to contact him back, he
would not answer the several calls they placed back to him. They also stated
they will never refund any money without talking to the Franchise first.

My wife and I bought a car from drivewise in greeley Colorado. A few months ago.
Well, our car started having problems, and aamco usually works with the warranty company.

So we took our car to Aamco, had then run a full diagnosis on our car. A day later we got a call with said issues, and was told they would contact the warranty company and see what is approved to be fixed so we don't have to pay for it.

The warranty usually covers axel and any lubricated parts.
Well they had him fix the cv axel on the driver side.
The manager David told us that the warranty company would only cover half the cost.
Whatever. I'll pay it... got our car back, went to drive it, and noticed that it wouldn't go faster than 65 mph or higher than 3rd gear. Called the lady at drivewise here to let her know. She called aamco and told him, he said to bring our car back.
After 2 weeks. We finally got our car back, and it still has trouble.
We paid over 350 dollars to have him fix stuff that he caused problems with on our car.
When we originally took our car to him, we only had struts and cv axel problems. After getting it back, we have head gasket problems, transmission problems. And oil leak problems. That we never had when we took our car to him to begin with.
And they just act like they did nothing wrong. And wanted my wife and I to pay for their wrong doings.
We are not the only one with these problems. There's a few more people with cars there that have said the same thing about this, and now have to habe their car towed to another business because they constantly are causing more problems with people's cars than they are fixing. This business needs shut down, fined. And to reimburse everyone that they are completely draining for money.
They do stuff like this just to get more money from customers.

I purchased a car from a dealership in greeley. It is covered under warranty, aamco works with this warranty company.  So I took my car to them. They said the cv axels and struts are bad. Which are both covered under warranty. Aamco contacted the warranty company to get it approved to work on the parts that needed replaced... aamco calls me back and says they will only cover half the cost, which isn't true.(aamco just trying to dig deeper into people's pockets) but whatever. I'll pay the half.

After getting my car back and test driving it... they didn't even fix the cv axel properly. They also caused a transmission problem, vacuum pump gasket problem, an oil leak problem, and broke the engine cooling fans.

So I notified the place I bought my car at, she said she would call aaamco and make sure they fix it.

Take my car back to aamco, it sits there for another week, end up paying for the gasket THEY mistreated. Get my car back, and it STILL  isn't fixed right.

After making me pay over 300 dollars for stuff the warranty covers and getting my car back, with nothing fixed... I just had enough.

Took it to a reliable shop in town, and can say, the damage aamco caused is FAR beyond what they "repaired"

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR.

I have tried several times to reach this customer so I can talk with them. I have called the number on our invoice 307-509-9938 and its no longer in service. I have also called the 307-414-0046 which has no voice mail and no one answers.  Not sure what I can do with this as I have not ever talked to them. I tried even before receiving your notifications as they posted a review. IF I can not get a hold of them how can I try to resolve the issue.  If customer wont talk to me the owner  how can I say the issue is legit? Please advise

    Thanks

In days surrounding September 14, 2023 I took my minivan to AAMCO to diagnose a check engine light and troubles with shifting into 2nd and 3rd gear. AAMCO said the codes came back as stating troubles with the valves. I specifically asked to a quote as to how much this would cost, because the van is old and not worth much. AAMCO quoted any where from $700- $1200. I agreed to them fixing the valves. They asked for a $900 deposit that would be applied to the work done. After AAMCO took the transmission apart they called and now said the work to fix the transmission would be close to $5,000. I was shocked, I told them the van is not even worth $5,000. This is why I asked them for the estimate and what would be the most it would cost. AAMCO manager offered financing. I refused to go any further with repairs. I asked them to put it back together. The manager then started to quote me a price to put it back together. There was no way I could afford to pay anything more. Therefore, I decided to take a loss and have a tow truck pick up the van and sell it to the junk yard. Mind you we had just paid the plates, put new tires, breaks, and battery on it. This was a big loss financially for us. The manager said we still owed $125. I went into the shop and asked to see an itemized bill but the manager shook it off and never gave me an itemized bill. This to me is very suspect as I presented a coupon for a discount on the diagnostic but the manager said he didn’t charge me for that and did not accept my coupon. How am I to know how much time they spent on my vehicle without an itemized receipt? For all I know they only spent two hours but charged me for ten hours ( manager stated 10 hours was spent in labor on my van). How am I to see they did not charge me for the diagnostic without an itemized receipt. What was the extra $125 he was charging me for? I feel wronged that they gave such a poor estimate. I could understand hundred dollar difference maybe but not thousands of dollars

First off we show no record for Maricell Lopez. I have several Lopez in our system. By doing some research I think it might be Diego Lopez.  Invoice Number I163893. It's for a 2006 Nissan Quest with 128119 Miles on it. If it's this vehicle and customer, they dropped it off on September 6th to be worked into the workflow. The customer, Dieago Lopez,  signed the write up sheet stating "No Power going up hills and check engine light (ses) was on.  AAMCO performed the Vehicle Courtesy Check. It is the first step in the process.  It shows on the invoice at No Charge . We have a coupon online for it and do not require the coupon as we just do it for free already.  I'm assuming that this is the coupon that she is talking about.  Customer was called and explained that the Vehicle Courtesy Check did not show what the issue was.  Need to do some Trouble Shooting to find the cause . This charge is $155 pre tax shop supplies. Customer agreed to it at 430 pm on Sept 6th.  The Morning of Sept 7 the trouble shooting was performed. The Valve Body failed.  When it fails it will cause internal damage to the rest of the transmission; we just dont know how much damage has been done. Transmission would need to be removed Disassembled and Inspected to be able to get a price to repair. We can not guess what is damaged as you can not see inside until it's disassembled. We do know for a fact that the Failed Part itself would cost around $700 to $1200.

The next repair line on the Invoice is for Transmission Remove, Disassemble, Inspect Internals (RDI).  The Charge for the RDI is $900 dollars. It is for removing the transmission from the vehicle, Transmission then being disassembled and inspected for worn and damaged parts. After this is completed Estimate will be made to repair the failed part and all damaged parts that need to be replaced. Customer was contacted at 10:24am Sept 7th and authorized the RDI. They stated they would come in Later and Pay the $900 fee for the RDI.  Upon the approval of the next step we wave the trouble shooting fee. That is why the coupon didn't make a difference for the trouble shooting.

Customer came in on Sept 8th and paid the $900 Fee. At that point the vehicle was put back into the workflow to have the RDI performed.

After the RDI was performed an estimate was made for the failed part (Valvebody) and damaged parts. Customer was called and was explained the estimate and what was found then  given the price of the estimate to make completed repairs and how the $900 that she paid would be applied to the estimate.  Customer declined to make any repairs at this time.  Invoice was created. Invoice totaled $1039.86 the invoice showed the VCC at NO CHARGE, The RDI at $900 then it shows Supplies $81.00 and Taxes $58.86 which totaled $1039.86 Customer prepaid the $900 which leaves a balance of $139.86
The Invoice is Itemized. The estimate is Itemized. Customer did understand this as she stated in the complaint  estimate was $5000  instead of the 5840.83

I hae tried twice to reach out to the customer and left messages. Never received any response

I have attached the copy of signed Write ups sheet, Copy of estimate which I had to reprint it today so the date shows today, and copy of invoice that Customer signed when picked up vehicle.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance
    Thanks
