On October 14th 2024 I purchased one Billet Injector Fuel Return Rails kit from R&d idi performance from the website ************************************** . When I received the kit I followed all directions properly but the kit would not assemble and does not function properly. I called the owner of R&D IDI Performance and he admitted to me this is a common issue they know exists but since they can not quality inspect each part there is nothing he can do to prevent bad parts from being sold. He suggested I fix the part by purchasing a tool to fix the bad part. I spent 260$ on this item and I did not receive a functioning part. I would like a refund but R&D IDI Performance is unwilling to provide a resolution.

      Business Response

The customer, **** ****, received the product in good order. He called concerning an issue with installation of a fitting included with the product. I had a similar issue 2 years prior, so it threw up a red flag initially. I advised the customer to purchase a very affordable tool (More affordable than the freight to send the product back) that would remedy the issue. The customer got very angry, inconsolable, and started calling me names. I told him to send the part back to me, that I would inspect it, and warranty it if necessary. He ranted on about how I needed to send him a brand-new replacement outright, and I had to tell him that's not how my warranty works, that it's up to the customer to send the product back so that it can be deemed warrantable. The customer then hung up on me. A number of minutes later, he called back, asking for the size of the tool mentioned above, in which I gave him the size, after which, exploded in more expletives toward me. I decided that this customer wasn't worth the trouble and told him to send the product back to me, and I would give him a full refund. He stated that he didn't want a refund, that he wanted to run the product, because he was tired of his inferior product on his engine leaking. It was at this point that I deemed something fishy was going on, and after checking with several customers that received product from the same batch as him (This product is my top selling product, with many customers), none of the customers had any issues with the product of the same batch. I concluded that the customer installed the fitting improperly and was trying to dupe me into sending him new product after he damaged the product during installation. Since, the customer has spammed social media and rating mediums on the internet with falsehoods regarding the situation, in an overly juvenile fashion.
