I purchased this 2024 Toyota Rav4 TRD OFF-ROAD from Toyota of Laramie on 02/13/2024, and was blindsided by the listing price. It was listed as USED certified gold, even though it was new with 5 miles on it; which technically it is new!!! I was informed that the window sticker was in the glove box and it wasn't there!! When I contacted the dealership about the window sticker, I kept getting the run around and the refusal to give it to me (made me think that they were deliberately trying to hide it from me). I finally got it from somewhere else and I was overcharged by $4,265 (window sticker says $41,235.00.

    To whom it may concern,

While we understand Brittneys perspective on this issue, unfortunately its not the reality of the situation. This vehicle was a used vehicle at the time of purchase. Yes it did have abnormally low miles for a used vehicle but that doesnt change the fact that it was. Used vehicles are bought and sold using industry standard book values. As youll see attached the book values for this particular vehicle do exceed its original manufactures suggested retail price and even exceed the price we sold the vehicle for even still today 4-25-25. The vehicle purchased is both a model and color that are no longer available from the factory which has increased its desirably and value. We maintain that there was no wrongdoing on our part during this transaction and have explained this at length during the 20+ phone calls to our dealership from ********.

I am rejecting this response because:

This vehicle upon purchase was technically a "NEW" vehicle because it ONLY had 5 miles on it; therefore, it shouldn't have ever been classified as a used vehicle!! A used vehicle doesn't have 5 miles on it!! When you look at the attachment there was another brand-new 2025 Toyota Rav4 woodland edition (5 miles) that was due to come into the dealership with the same exact Army green color with a $500.00 mark up on the window sticker and there is no mark up the vehicle that I purchased. So, the color is still in production. I am still seeking the $4,265.00 reimbursement for being blind-sided, taken advantage of, false advertisement, refusal of giving me the window sticker when requested, being dishonest, and not being truthful.

The color is still in production for the Rav4 and there hasn't been 20+ calls to the dealership. I was lied to by the salesperson about the window sticker and ****** snuck in an extended warranty without my consent or knowledge. We spoke about it, but I never gave my consent to it. Then he called me a liar about the warranty.

And the cost to have the vehicle certified is $200 to $300 and this vehicle wasn't classified as used, since it only had 5 miles on it upon purchase, let alone the refusal of the window sticker, which tells me that the dealership was hiding the actual selling of the vehicle per. the window sticker.

I bought a used 2018 Toyota ****** from Toyota of Laramie in Aug-Sep of 2022. Had an issue with o2 sensors not even a week after I received the truck which wasn’t an issue, but after about 6mo into the financing I had a few emergencies that depleted my funds dangerously low. I had to come to the idea that I may have to get rid of the truck even though I could still afford the payments. I had privately tired to sell it for a little bit and got and offer from another dealership in Colorado. After further discussion with the sales person I was talking to, he handed me a car fax report that showed that my vehicle was involved in a wreck before I had purchased it from Toyota of Laramie. This significantly dropped the price in his opinion since it was traded in immediately after the accident and offered 16,000-19000 for it. Which was around 20,000 less than what I payed. I had no disclosure that my vehicle was in an accident at all from Toyota of Laramie and was and was never told that it was in one. If I had known I would have probably not bought the vehicle because now I see awful panel gaps, misaligned cosmetic parts, and the fog light comes out when shutting the hood. From afar you can’t tell it’s been in one but once you dig into it, it just gets worse and worse. The frame however was not bent so I don’t know what grounds I have for anything. I feel like I got very screwed over and taken advantage of because my fiancé and I were never disclosed of any accident from the vehicle at the time of purchase from a dealership with no car fax report. I’m just want to know if there is anything I can do to help my situation, I’ve already tried discussing it with the dealership and gave me pretty much no help except get irritated when I brought up the issue to try and work things out. Attached is a mechanics report of the cosmetic patch up job from the accident that Laramie GM fixed and a car fax report. Thank you for letting me reach out and if you are able to help.

    Mr. ******,

We are so sorry to hear about your frustration your experiencing selling your Tacoma. Attached you will find a copy of the Carfax you signed at the time of purchase that does have the accident in question listed. We have the Carfax report printed and placed inside of all of our used vehicles along with going over the report and getting customer signatures on each one as they are purchased because we would never mislead a customer by not disclosing such vital information.
