On December 8, 2023 I took my 2017 Jeep in for a few minor repairs. The main reason was to replace a leaky oil seal on the rear axle. The new seal required the replacement of the wheel bearing on the rear passenger side. They also worked on the rear brakes. The cost of all the work was about $1110.51. The repair failed 6 days later and caused consequential damage of $10,201.02 to fix what Angry Irish broke.

    Business Response

After the customer origionally called to complain about his ABS Lights and an oil smell he was told to stop driving the vehicle and to get it to a shop immediatly. Instead he decided to continue driving it for another 4 days. He was rushing my technicians the day we were working on the vehicle so that he could get home, he called the shop mutiple times. When he called the shop when his vehicle broke down, 4 days afterwards after being told to stop driving & get it to a shop immediatly, he proceded to yell & scream at our service writer and threaten everyone in the shop, until our service writer was in tears. We were under the impression that he took it to a shop not continue to drive it. When his axle finally snapped, due to him continuing to drive it for 4 days, he was on his way to work not to a repair shop, he proceeded to call the shop and yell and scream threatening everyone that works here. That is why we stopped comunicating with him.

I am rejecting this response because:

The business response is false in every respect and does not address the incompetence of their work. They almost killed me and cost me over $11000 in damages. Also, I wonder how I was supposed to get the car to a new shop if I didn't drive it there.

I did not threaten anybody even though they almost killed me when their repair failed. The owner is lying and is trying to cover up his incompetence, cowardice and criminal negligence.

I want my money back and damages.

Attached is a letter from the YETI Jeep Dealer stating that the Angry Irish Repair was faulty and caused the rear axle to snap.

I am rejecting this response because:

They have not taking responsibility for ruining my Jeep and endangering the life of a senior citizen.

This business owner is incompetent, cowardly and endangers the community

BBB offered binding arbitration to help resolve the case, however we did not hear back from the consumer either accepting or rejecting this alternate form of dispute resolution.
