    On August 29, 2022, I purchased a case of 6 bags (2 oz each) of GF Harvest's gluten-free rolled oats (order #28858) for $79.99 plus $16.80 in shipping, for a total of $96.79, which I paid using my credit card on their online portal. I received a confirmation e-mail on the same day.

    I learned the following morning (August 30) from Gluten Free Watchdog, LLC, an internationally trusted organization in the medically gluten-free community, that independent laboratory testing of GF Harvest's oats has shown amounts of gluten present in their products exceeding the limit (20 ppm) permitted for any food that is labeled gluten-free by ****, a separate organization that helps maintain safety standards in the food industry with regard to gluten-free labeling. Given this information, I reached out to GF Harvest by replying directly to the e-mail order confirmation to ask that the order be canceled for the reasons above. I am medically gluten-free and can become ill if I do not adhere to a strictly gluten-free diet.

    I did not receive a reply to my e-mail, but several days later, the shipment of oats arrived at my address. I immediately e-mailed GF Harvest again to request a refund (September 9). I did not receive any response to that e-mail either. I did receive a separate automated e-mail encouraging me to leave a review of the product on the same day, so I sent one detailing the lack of customer service response and my concern about the company's product safety as described above.

    After I received no contact whatsoever in the ensuing weeks, I searched GF Harvest's website for a phone number or alternate contact option. There is no customer service number listed, but a separate sales page for wholesale inquiries provided a phone option (************). I called this number on September 27 and left voicemail requesting a call back regarding an issue I had with a recent shipment. I did not elaborate on the specific issue at that time. I have not received a response to date.
