    I booked a hotel for a trip we were taking. About 2 hours after booking I came down with a pretty bad case of covid. We booked through Priceline, and when we called to cancel they told me that they would allow a full refund if the hotel approved it. At the time it was over 24hrs before check in so they would have plenty of time to fill the room. ********* called the hotel and the lady at the front desk said no way. I called the front desk lady and she was incredibly rude. She ultimately told me she would talk to her manager and call me back, when I asked what time the manager comes in she replied “I don’t know he just comes and goes as he pleases”. Needless to say she never called me back. So I called today, and the new lady at the front desk had a similar attitude and told me no again followed by “let me get your number and I’ll call the manager then call you back”. She again did not call back. I then called cooperate, after talking to someone there he said “absolutely we will get you a refund, call this number **********, and they are our 3rd party that will get you a refund”. He hung up and I called that number. The lady on the other end wouldn’t even let me speak before she said “nope, you are ********* I have to transfer you”. She interrupted me and sent me back over to ********* which again said all they needed was someone on the hotel side to say a refund is okay. My family and I are on a single income and inflation is wrecking us, $100 is a lot of money for us. Not to mention we are just trying to do the right thing by not spreading covid to the hotel staff and guests.
