On November 25th, 2023 I went into Sportsman's warehouse to check out what was remaining from their Black Friday promotions. I found a scope and asked some questions about pricing. They said they had a current promotion going on where I could save an additional 15% off of my entire purchase by applying to their Credit Card. They gave me the pamphlet, I reviewed it in detail, then they gave me a tablet to apply online. I was approved for a $1,000 line. I advised them that I wanted the scope, but also wanted them to mount it, and would use the new card. I went home, got the firearm, returned to the store to make my purchase. Then they said the 15% off is only valid on the first $50 purchase. You do not get 15% off over the $50. I only signed up for the Credit Card for the additional savings- I did not NEED another Credit Card. This was false advertisement. The pamphlet has nothing about $50 cap. The promotion signs have nothing about $50 cap, and during my discussions before leaving to get the firearm not one sales associate mentioned the $50 cap and I spoke to 4 different individuals in the store who ALL knew my intentions. I spoke with a manager in the store, and customer service on the phone, neither of which rectified the issue. This was poor customer service & the 15% off my entire first purchase should have been honored as advertised.

We are sorry that Joshua had a poor experience at our store on Black Friday however as seen in the pictures it is very clear that the discount is limited to $50. We display the sign at the very front of our store and the smaller foam pads are located at every register in our store. We are sorry that the offer wasn't to his satisfaction and that we could not spend more time with him to explain everything in detail however he chose the busiest day of the year for us and the sales associate was as helpful as he could be given the very busy season and backlog of customers. Joshua mentions that he spoke to several people including a manager and customer service to rectify the situation and I know for a fact they all explained to him the limits of the offer. He simply wanted more than the offer provided which we can not do.

I am rejecting this response because: The Pamphlet I was provided and uploaded in this case states: "Open and use an explorerewards credit card and get 15% off your first purchase today at this Sportsman's Warehouse location only". No where does it say anything about a $50 limit. So, I am not entirely sure where your comment "as seen in the pictures it is very clear that the discount is limited to $50." is coming from? What you uploaded is NOT what I was provided. You also commented " I know for a fact they all explained to him the limits of the offer." This was AFTER the application approval. PRIOR to applying I had a conversation about what I wanted to do and how much it would cost & asked (more than once, I might add) if I applied and was approved for the Credit Card, if I could use it the same day to cover that purchase & was advised that would not be a problem. Again, this was false advertisement and a poor response on your end with sarcasm.

    Regards,

    Joshua Shein
