We received a written quote for a door for our business in Douglas Wyoming for a fire door. The quote specifically states that the lead time is "3-4 weeks." When ordering the door from Patrick in the Douglas office I was told it was "manufactured in Douglas Wyoming." This has since turned out to be not true. When they missed the first delivery date, I was offered $500 off when it came in February. In February I was told March and then told April and they would work the weekend to get it done. In April, it became May. When I spoke with Brent at the Torrington office today he said they cant get them to make it. I only found out in March that I was lied to and that it was not made in Douglas. When I asked to speak to Mark the President of the Company, Brent told me "No." We will not be making your door. Bloedorn does not stand behind there quotes and lies to customers to get business. In addition, in Patrick told me he was the "boss" which is not true. I have waited months for this special door and we need it. They should not be able to cancel an order because they lie. The quote attached, evens shows delivery by 01/19/23.

As I tried to explain to Jerry on multiple occasions we can only communicate to him the information we receive from our vendors.  Supply chain issues are beyond our control and it clearly states that in the fine print  at the bottom of the non-contractual "quote" mentioned.  As for other "lies" he mentions they were nothing more than a simple difference between using the term manufacture versus assemble.  When the Bloedorn employee mentioned that the door is manufactured in Douglas he meant the doors are assembled in Douglas after receiving the manufactured products  from a number of manufacturing vendors.  Many Bloedorn employees at various levels tried to communicate multiple times to this customer that we were doing everything in our power to meet his expectations and after several  employees were treated  in a very unprofessional manner I simply apologized one last time and stated he needed to source this door elsewhere.  Bloedorn Lumber has been in business for 100+ years and we stand firmly behind our excellent customer service.  Unfortunately we can't meet this persons unrealistic expectations and certainly do not lie to any of the thousands of customers we have in four states and 26 mostly small communities.

I am rejecting this response because:  I have the written quote as well as many, many emails from representatives of this company giving delivery dates.  In addition I was even told that they would work on the Saturday the door was supposed to be delivered in writing.  Why would a company, who has a staller reputation do this to a customer?  We wasted over 4 months waiting on this and I find it amazing that once they give us a discount of $500 on the door they decide to cancel the order and not assist us further.  Although they state that the quote is "non-binding" why did they have me accept it in writing to them?  Why did the Assistant Manager tell me the door was manufactured locally?  Why did they miss every delivery date AFTER I was told they talked directly to the manufacturer and it was "promised" to be on the next truck.

This company may have all these store, however, I am one customer that has had a horrible experience.  I do not think it is too much to ask that they fulfill the order and give me the discount on it they promised in a timely manner.  They claim that they have to call a call center to get answers from the manufacturer.  They should not sell goods they cannot get with multiple delivery dates.

I am still expecting this company to fulfill the order in a timely manner with the discount that was offered.  I am beginning to believe that they never had the intent to fill the order and offered the discount to quiet me down and when I kept pushing they did not like the fact that Bloedorn misrepresented everything they have told me about this door.  Offering a discount and then cancelling the order is nothing but horrible business.

So much for honest business practices.

      Regards,

      Jerry Budenske

Jerry has been notified that the door has arrived and if he still wants/needs it, it is available.  The last time we spoke I mentioned I needed final measurements from him in order to complete the necessary modifications.
