I worked as a cook for Linn Outfitting/*********** outfitters for a backcountry sheep ****. The job description was given as "mostly reheating food prepared by our full time cook, for these specific dates". a week before the start date, I was informed that I was expected to create the menu, go grocery shopping (and pay for the groceries with my own money), and go to their property to organize all of the required gear for the trip (a place that I had never been). All of the pre trip organization was expected to be done on my time, without pay. The main cook provided 3 dinner proteins and 2 appetizers, for a ten day ****.We were sent to an area on an unmarked trail, that none of the crew had ever been to, looking very unprofessional in front of the client. the client's horse fell with client while looking for the trail in the *****. horse had a cut on his leg. when I commented on the cut, a guide responded "you should see the horses at the end of the season", a testament to how hard this outfitter uses their animals.I was involved in a horse wreck. my horse suffered a 6" long, 4" deep wound in her armpit/chest cavity. Despite being informed, **** made no effort to attend to the horse for two days. The morning after the trip ended I contacted *** to get reimbursed for the groceries that I fronted them. I offered to drive to her house to bring her the receipt and receive payment. she said that she would mail me a check. (previously she'd said I would be reimbursed immediately). I asked that I have it sooner, she responded again via text that she would mail it. she refused to answer calls, would only text and made efforts to avoid me.they paid me via electronic deposit, to the wrong name, despite asking me for all of my paperwork which I furnished with my legal name. they are now ignoring my requests to have a copy of my paystub, which I am legally entitled to in Wyoming.
