The course I signed up for had a description of, "You will learn about the various licensing options and key skills that you will need to excel in this industry, including working with property ******************, listing and marketing rental units, maintaining properties, and more." This is true for the first two of six sessions. The last four sessions are all about looking for a job, interviewing, resume writing, setting up your own company, etc. I'm in retirement and managing my own properties. I don't need the job finding or company setup information. I merely wanted information about property management itself, which is what the course description said it was. The company refuses to refund even a portion of the course fee, but it is a waste of my time to finish this course. Think twice about your goals before signing up for any of these courses.IAP Career College

Although it is advertised that you will learn the areas you brought up, it didnt say that you would exclusively learn just those areas. The course offers a wide variety of valuable information for many students with individual learning interests. We want to ensure our students received the best level of education and are satisfied with their courses. Although you requested a refund well after the ***************** our policy and our customer service did provide you with the accurate details on our refund policy, we have issued a $50 refund on the course as you did suggest some of the material was what you were looking for. We also issued a refund on the hard copy certificate you ordered as well with your course. I am quite disappointed in the Career Coach Certificate. Going through the course I find some out of date information, links that no longer work and not ideal information on resumes. Additionally, some of the review questions are not in the week's reading. If a person is wanting to start a coaching business this course is far from giving an individual all the needed info. Too much emphasis on starting a business (with vague and basic info) and not enough on the actual skills and knowledge an actual coach would need. Not recommended. I may finish just to see how the final is, but the fact that refunds cannot be given after the final is unethical if in fact you stand by your material, you should honor refunds, as that is a true guarantee of your course.IAP Career College

The Career Coach Certificate Course you are registered for is one of our basic level courses and although it touches on the fundamentals of career coaching, the course is created to guide individuals on starting a business. We understand that our courses may not be for everyone, but the majority of our students are very pleased and express positive feedback on the courses they have taken. Our refund policy does mention that if anyone is dissatisfied with their course, they can request a refund prior to taking the final exam. This is because we feel if a student is unhappy with the course, determining that will take place early in the course process and waiting until they complete the final exam to get the certificate will not change that for them.
