    They made us pay 100% in advance. And in fact charged us for storage saying that we hadn't paid quickly enough without telling us. And then when the furniture was delivered because we couldn't provide proof of the same credit card they made us pay AGAIN. That's right TWICE. They said they would refund us, but that was four months ago and they have not. They are now saying that they have to wait six months before refunding.Run. Run away. Run away fast.

    Gave it one star because there's ******* option. A recent move from ***** to ******** resulted in thousands of dollars in damages, questions about how the damage occurred and a less than acceptable response from the company. I understand that accidents happen and items get damaged from time to time, but that's not what happened in my case. The extent of the damage to so many different items shows, at minimum, complete incompetence and willful neglect on the part of Canadian National Van lines and their staff, or perhaps the deliberate destruction of customer property by those same staff. Neither scenario reflects well on Canadian ************************************************* and should be a deterrent to anyone looking to hire a mover. We ended up with a ripped mattress, footprints on the furniture, shredded table edges from being dragged, spilled food on the table because it had been used, food stains on the mattress cover, crushed and broken totes and the family heirlooms they contained. And so much more. How are they not embarrassed? Just brutal. They wanted a claim form filled out immediately but now are trying to tell me it could take 10 weeks to hear back. That isn't going to happen. Do not under any circumstances hire this company to move anything of any value. And warn your friends from coast to coast. After reading some of the reviews, it seems the destruction of property is business as usual for this company and low-balling the compensation offered to their victims is considered just a cost of doing business.

    I flew to ***** from ****** to receive my shipment. I was happy to report that the truck arrived a few days after my arrival with my furniture. I was very worried that I would have to stay with friends for longer, but was happy to hear when dispatch called to confirm delivery. My rep was great to deal with and I was very happy with the personal approach to my questions. She was ********. Ask for her if you can when calling to book a move. Our move cost was not as much as other companies were quoting. Some companies were quoting well over 9K to move from ****** to *****. I was thinking of leaving everything behind. But then ***************************** quoted me this great price, and I ended up paying all together $3800 which was much cheaper and more reasonable. No surprise charges, but the crew at the pick up did charge me for some mattress covers. The paperwork was handled by them as well which was great! Overall great move!

    Relocated for a new job with my fiance from ***********, ** to ********. We had a pick up scheduled at the end of November of 2022 and we just accepted delivery early January of 2023. We did have a hard time finding a new place, so we did end up using their storage services. The great part was that when we did find a new place, we gave them a few days notice and they showed up for delivery. The bed was assembled at my request which was great. The crew was amazing and very hard working. At the delivery end they had to take 3 flights of stairs they didnt complain at all. It was later in the day and dark, but they were great. Had ***** and **** and they were truly amazing. If you can request for these two fellows. We also worked with ******** who was very patient and responded to every one of our email and calls. Great service from customer service. The price was very fair, and they included the delivery service from the facility to my new house, which was great and unexpected.

    The experience with this company was very stressful and disappointing. A couple of guys showed on time with the truck, but one of the guys was very rude and disrespectful with me and my husband. He did not take well my request to take off his muddy shoes, and after that he started talking to us very rudely to the point that we didnt feel safe with him around our house. Sadly, and imagine how inconvenient, we had to ask him to step out of the house. The company wasnt able to arrange an alternative for us and now we have lost invaluable time on the logistics of moving from ******* to *******.

    This is the worst possible company EVER. I hired them, paid them more than the quote and when my stuff came my very expensive art was missing. They were " so sorry." Couldn't get them on the phone, the staff was rude, and in the end I was offered 30 lousy bucks for the $600 worth of missing art. They are SCUM. Don't EVER hire them. EVER.

    They were consistently pleasant despite some very challenging logistics and weather conditions, as well as totally professional and respectful of me, the two properties and my belongings. The men worked so hard and the price was also quite reasonable, considering all things they had to go through - heavy rain, mud and ice and shuttling my stuff in smaller trucks to the tractor trailers that were too large to come to either house. They basically had to move everything twice on both ends of the move! The sales rep took the time to look at both addressed and provided shuttle trucks at both sides. Packing was done the day before and loading and shuttle was the following day. ******** was great to deal with and was great in responding by email and text.

    I am very disappointed with Canadian VanLines. I reserved this company on behalf of a friend who was moving from ****** to Cape Breton. It was not a complicated move. It involved a small amount of furniture, about twenty boxes of books and art work. The price was reasonable and the service up front, communication, both written and phone, was good. However the actual move and delivery was, for lack of better word, pathetic. Art work was lost and damaged. The company offered $50.00 as compensation. I definitely do not recommend this company. You may have to pay a bit more but save yourself complications and ensure that your goods are delivered in a professional way. Unfortunately this was not the case in this move. If I could give it no star, I would.

    Great experience from this company. Canadian National was recommended to me by my co-worker who also recently moved from ******** to the ******** area. We dealt with ******** and we were happy with the outcome. The move took about 3 weeks all in and we were happy to receive the call that our stuff came shortly after we arrived. They did add some packing charges (mattress covers) to the billing which I got to keep. The truck that did the pick up was very large in ******** so there was some long carry that had to be done, but the crew did have to talk everything across a busy street which is understandable. All in all, great service and I would use them again of course.

    Recent move from ******* to **. 4 days ago! Half my shipment is missing and tons of stress and BS all week calling them and emailing with no answers or explanation! Half my kitchen all my dishes Coffee maker toaster Entire 8pc patio set brand new BBQ all garden tools lights all Christmas stuff 6 shelved stand bar stools alllllll missing in limbo can't even confirm have left a Storage Facility I'm *******!Send me a multi page claims form and expect pictures of each item missing separately. My original quote was $1055..went from that to $3156 & same deal as I read above demanded payment in full 2 days before scheduled delivery date. They showed up 4hrs late and demanded extra for stairs in cash. I did NOT pay this and starting offloading boxes myself!They then wanted an entire list of missing items by end of business day with pictures!How can ANYONE be expected to have an entire shipment unpacked from an across country move in one afternoon!Such a stressful experience and still unresolved or compensated in anyway other than "I'm sorry"Single woman new job and very few funds didn't need to be faced with replacing $1000's in household items. Choose a different company people! So disappointed ??

    Hello *****,Thank you for your recent relocation with Canadian National Van Lines. We have looked into your file and would like to provide a response in regards to your comments. In regards to the cost - you received a very general quote for your move. You then provided us with the details of what needed to be moved and a new quote was generated which was approved by yourself and a deposit was placed. This quote was not $3156 as you mentioned. As you know the total bill was much less and total was $2230.00 which is what was approved minus the deposit.As for the claimed missing items - those items were never picked up or transported. We checked all of our camera footage as well as the *** and the inventory list of the items that were picked up and everything that was picked up was indeed delivered. The additional items were never provided at the pick up and we did offer you to go back and pick up the additional inventory. You declined this offer. There were no missing items during your move. We are more than happy to accommodate and offer another move if you wish to proceed. We will offer a courtesy discount as well if you wish to proceed. We hope to hear from you.
