      We have been with AMA for a while now. But it is really pure luck I think when you get a knowledgeable and respectful agent. *********************** was very knowledgeable and very respectful helping us insure our new vehicle. I explained how we needed support and he went above and beyond because he knows how to interpret insurance laws and requirements. He gave us peace of mind as promised by AMA. Thank you **** and thank you AMA for having client/customer services provided to us by ****. He truly deserves recognition.

      Bought a battery from these guys since mine was toast when I had them come out to boost. Battery died. Had them come our yo boost. Said it wouldnt take a charge so followed me to the closest shop to drop off. Shop said battery was dead. Called ama to ask them what they wanted me to do since I bought the battery off them. Customer service said to have the shop change the battery or wait and have their driver do it. Said to email the receipt to their reimbursement department if I had the shop do it. Since it was already there I had the shop do it. Reimbursement came back not approved because they tested the battery and it was good. Not sure what to say but shame on you ama for providing information that was apparently incorrect and not standing by your employees instructions. What happened to you guys.

      We're grateful this member let us know about their concern, and we're sorry they've had to go through this! Unfortunately, the member declined an AMA battery test and chose to take it to another service provider where it was replaced. Subsequently, we had the opportunity to test the battery ourselves, conducting in-depth testing over two days, and discovered that, although the battery was in need of a full charge, it was in good condition. We would recommend showing our test results to the other provider to see if they can help resolve this issue.

      We cancelled our insurance after a substantial rate increase, which was explained as "industry standard". We received quotes from other brokers that were half the price with better coverage. When I cancelled my policy, they did not process the cancellation and continued to charge me. Shop around. This is not the agency to go with.

      When a customer purchases an ********************** policy, theyre trusting us to provide the coverage they need when the unexpected occurs. We take this responsibility very seriously and dont want to cancel a policy without clear direction, and as directed by the Insurance Act, which provides clear regulations for how an automobile insurance policy may be cancelled. Therefore, the policy holder must explicitly request that the policy be cancelled. Upon reviewing the phone conversation with ****************** on Aug. 16, 2023, there was no discussion about cancelling the policy. The advisor provided a quote for changing a vehicle, as requested. We have no record of ****************** requesting a policy cancellation until she called on Aug. 23, 2023. We completed the cancellation request that same day. Unfortunately, as coverage was still in place, were unable to backdate the cancellation to Aug. 16, 2023. We have contacted ****************** through email, her preferred method of communication, to let her know the policy has been cancelled but that we are unable to backdate this change.

      They simply refused to tow my travel trailer from storage to the garage even though the axle broke. While I understand that they have many fine prints that allows them to refuse service, I am truely disgusted by their lack of will to help and talents to hide behind fine print. Basically, they prey on niceness and ignorance of common *********. If we had real competition, they will be out of business or perhaps changed their model. As far as I am concerned, I will no longer need their excellent protection plan that comes with crazy long wait in desperate hours or never comes. I will rather spend my money to maintain my vehicles and to build an emergency fund. By the way, I had a plan that covers RV towing.

      Horrible lies. First time I had to use them with premium membership. First promised 4 hour wait, then 4.5, turns out its a minimum 7 hours and who knows from here. Cancel your memberships. This is a ****

      Bought a premium membership based on the details provided. Called for a tow and they said you have to wait ******************************* I have to pay an extra $60 fee and $3.15 per km. I am 106 km away from my tow destination. Waste of money. If you can't use something you have purchased for 72 hours, this information should be displayed while you are in the purchase proccess not buried in the terms and conditions. Very deceptive, almost criminal.

      Thank you for sharing this concern and for the opportunity to respond. We understand that needing emergency roadside assistance can be stressful when you dont already have coverage in place. Were happy to help Albertans in these circumstances but we do apply a couple conditions which include a $60 one-time Instant Use fee and a maximum towing distance of 5 km (the same coverage offered under our Basic Membership). As **************** membership was activated May 19/23, the same day this inquiry was submitted, both of these conditions would apply. These steps help ensure our memberships remain affordable by preventing circumstances where a membership is purchased, costly roadside assistance service is received, and the membership is immediately cancelled. We clearly communicate this on our website and in our terms and conditions, including a mention of the Instant Use Fee in the first step of the online join process. Weve attempted to contact this member to provide any clarification needed and have left voicemails with our contact information.

      AMA replace my battery in January 2021.I have had nothing but issues with the battery.I have taken it to my garage to have the alternator and starter checked there is absolutely nothing wrong with them.The battery does not hold a charge.This battery is under warranty I would like it replaced.

      My daughter visits my house and after that car won't start. She is a premium member. She calls the next morning for towing and they told her the waiting time is 11 hours. The next day I took a day off to wait for a tow truck. They didn't show up. Terrible service, stay away from this company.

      I discovered my tire was flat in my garage 8pm. I thought in winter weather I would be waiting forever. About an hour and they were here, super polite, professional and kind. All is fixed and I can sleep knowing I can get to work tomorrow. Great service
