    Powerline fastner to be replaced and electrical line which is an inch from roof line be corrected to code and repaired. At this time fastner was replaced and line is still an inch from roofline. Got fortis out and was quoted from polar electric prior to services being done. Fortis recommendations were advocated at estimate time and prior to service and electrician just went ahead what he thought was to be done. Communication between myself and polar electrical is noted through emails and it is now a debate and i have not paid by bill as the job is not complete and not to code.

    The work mentioned is for a "Service Repair". In this instance, the repairs need to be as close to the original installation as possible. This work was carried out in exactly that way. For repairs, we are not required to bring the entire service up to modern day code. We completed the work outlined in our estimate and went above and beyond working with utilities to get your overhead line tensioned properly. (This overhead line is utilities responsibility as they are the wire owners.)

    The utility company would not have connected to it if it was not to code. I suspect this is due to her not wanting to pay for her services as every time we called to collect payment, she has come up with a different excuse each time which we still humoured and accommodated her for to try and give this customer what they want. Since it was sent to collections today I am guessing this is another straw they are trying to grasp at.
