    **** ***** Contracting was hired to repaint four metal closet doors as part of a larger reno being done on our Edmonton condo. The doors were delivered to the contractor's home on September 26 to take to his workshop (apparently nearby). On October 12 the contractor contacted me to say the work was done and demanded payment. I paid him fully via e-transfer but was unavailable to collect the doors until a few weeks later. ??When the contractor was contacted on November 7 he promised the doors would be made available the following day but then suddenly went silent. That was the beginning of a pattern where the contractor would repeatedly promise to deliver but would then stop responding. For the past three weeks I have been texting the contractor regularly to have him meet his contractual obligations but the pattern of unkept promises of delivery continues. To make it as easy as possible for the contractor I even offered to arrange for someone pick up the doors from his workshop so he wouldn't have to deliver them - all he would have to do is open the door - but that has not altered the results.

    It is becoming increasingly apparent that despite being fully paid for the work the contractor does not have any intentions of returning the doors to us. The doors are the last piece to complete our condo reno.
