      We purchased two vehicles from Competition Chevrolet in Stony Plain, AB. The first was a 2022 suburban. We purchased this as we needed a reliable vehicle that fit our family of 6 that includes * children under the age of *. On May *, 2025 the transmission failed and needed to be towed to the nearest dealership which is Adventure Automotive in Fairview, AB. This vehicle only has approximately ****** km on it. It has been there for over a month and a half now with no timeline provided on when it will be fixed. We were told we were one of over ***** customers in line for the same part to be fixed on the same vehicle. The second vehicle we purchased from Competition Chevrolet in Stony Plain was a 202* **** Chevrolet. Two weeks prior to our suburban breaking down, the 202* **** had the transmission body valve fail. Another part that we had to wait for because there were many others waiting for the same part to be fixed in the same type of transmission. This truck has since been traded off because it had become unreliable. We were not offered a loaner vehicle or anything to drive while both vehicles were being fixed. They only recommended to rent a vehicle and offered to give us $** a day. We live at least an hour from the closest town so this wouldn’t even get us home from town without having to pay most of the rental fees out of pocket. This also included many stipulations such as having to be a chevrolet and a certain year of make. We have moved on to purchasing from Ford as they have offered us a loaner vehicle to drive at no extra cost and no stipulations even though we did not purchase our previous vehicles through them. We are aware that vehicles break down but the customer service has been somewhat unfair as we are now making payments on a vehicle we can’t even use due to no fault of our own. We have purchased * vehicles altogether from Competition Chevrolet.

      We received your email re:   ******* Service issues.   It is extremely unfortunate, that ***** and a large number of GM vehicle owners are having serious service issues, with breakdowns of General Motors mechanical components.  I have sold ***** and his wife a total of * new trucks an SUV s inclusive.  ***** has traded his Dodge and Toyota products, in to purchase the new Trucks.    I have sold ******* brother in law, ****** ******* and his wife, ******* sister, 3 New Trucks as well.

      ***** contacted me on April *, 202* and informed me that his truck was down with Transmission problems and he had taken it in to Adventure GM , a GM Dealer in Fairview, near where he resides.  Adventure GM did not have the Transmission Part in stock, and there was a months long wait for Parts from GM.  I checked with our Parts and Service manager at Competition Chevrolet Ltd.   Fortunately, we did have the Transmission part in stock, and we shipped it promptly up to Adventure GM in Fairview.   They installed the part and got ******* truck on the road for him.   As you can tell , Competition Chevrolet is extremely interested in our customers Service related problems and we were able to help in getting his truck repaired quickly.   On May **, 202* ***** informed me, that his wife’s Suburban, was down with transmission issues as well.    I checked with our Parts Dept and unfortunately we did not have the suitable Parts in stock, to help him,  in this situation.***** is extremely disappointed in General Motors Parts Distribution System, and NOT with Competition Chevrolet Ltd.     We are a GM Independent franchise and cannot control the flow of Parts from General Motors of Canada.  I sure, if you speak with *****, he will tell you his dissatisfaction is with General Motors and NOT with Competition Chevrolet Ltd.
