    They ask for payment before technician will come. 175$ for service call and 45 minutes of work. He was here for not even half hr Charged and ordered a part ahead hoping it was the problem. It was as only 6$ part Came back and found it wasnt the problem. Said its the board and that cost is about 450$ They email you ahead for all services and parts even not sure what parts you may need or how much time it will take Got email charges without any calls to tell you whats up They dont communicate what the emails about ************ payment due. If you dont call and ask details they dont order your part I waited for a while thinking they may call but didnt so I called to ask details Found out they didnt order part of 6$ because I didnt pay up yet. Never had that kind of service. Dont like it at all. Had to ask couple times for refund on the 6$ part that wasnt used. Took a while for that Asked if any refund on time as he didnt take 45 minutes to check the appliance but no response on that Never had that kind of service. Other repair business tell you service call price and you pay for the time it took after the jobs done Didnt like the service at all. No complaints about the service guy himself but the office part was not efficient or fair

    We want to give A++ kudos to one of the Service Technicians, Norm. Very professional, efficient work & great personality...he knows what he is doing. **** helped us with a part ordering challenge for our fridge. New part was installed today....so happy that our fridge no longer growls like a bear, but purrs like a kitten. Thanks ****. We will continue to refer customers to Platinum Appliances because of YOU

    Had to give a star but no stars from us. No contact except by text. Curt responses. No sense of urgency. No estimate or written anything. It has now been 2 weeks and will be 2 more before possible repair. Loss of food and being told to go ahead and find someone else, with a hearty 'good luck' is extremely poor. Don't do business with Platinum Appliance.

    This company took my payment for a service call, ordered a part and has not returned. The service call was apparently to include replacing, repairing the washer.
    The part was apparently coming Wed/Thurs. then Fri. Then Mon/ Tues
    It’s Wed. No part, no call to make an appointment to install.
    I had been referred by ********* Canada for this service.
    Neither company complies with acceptable business practice in my view

    Hello, I have looked into your service call that was sent to us by *********. By our technicians notes it says that we replaced your washer door switch on Sept 28th. I have followed up with my technician and he says that he was at your home, and indeed replaced your part on the same day you placed this complaint, we fit you in last minute as you were upset that your part took too long to arrive. The part arrived on the 28th and our technician came that day. If your still having issues, please do not hesitate to contact Whirlpool for a follow up visit.

    Hello, we only billed you a service call, the second invoice was for the part, that you did not pay, so we left your call open. We collect for parts upfront as we get restocking charges & shipping that we cannot get refunded from the manufacturers,as well our technicians do not have means of collecting at the customers homes. As per our technicians diagnoses, the fan was frosted up, thats why he asked you to defrost. The part we were ordering for you is required as per the manufacture. I understand that a fan will make it go again, but it will not solve the frosting up issue, and your fan likely didn't need replacing. It is very possible this will be an on going issue in the future. We believe in fixing the issue, not putting a band aid on the problem, we have extensive resources with the manufactures to make sure that we have the knowledge to repair your appliance successfully the first time. As a courtesy we have given you a full refund on the service call you paid, however we will not be able to use our services in the future. Thank you

    This company is horrible. Avoid them! They were assigned to me through my Whirlpool warranty to fix my stove. The stove was only 7 months old when it stopped working properly. Rob came out in March and couldn't figure out the problem, so ordered a bunch of parts. At the beginning of May I took a day off work so Rob could come back with the parts. He never contacted me in the morning like he was supposed to, so I called the office to make sure that he came that day. He eventually showed up and said that he needed to order more parts. End of May he came back and again said that he needed to order more parts. By this point I was getting super annoyed. Rob said that the service manager Dave would come out with him to see if he could figure out the problem. I booked yet another appointment for July 26th with them which they said had to be on a Tuesday or Friday in order for both to be able to come out. Dave called me and said that he couldn't come but would come the next day. I told him that was unacceptable. He then told me that I was welcome to find another company which I said I happily would. This was now 5 months of them trying to fix the problem. They are very unorganized and don't have a clue how to repair anything. Another company came out and fixed it right away. It ended up being a loose wire, that's it! No parts required. Horrible horrible company!!!

    Hello,I am very sorry that you are not satisfied with our service.The delay in parts,which is out of our control played a big part in the time to get out there for the repair. Along the repair Rob called ********* tech line, as he is required to do .This tool is used when an unusual issue that is not easily recognized. As per ********* we installed the parts as the manufacture advised us to, unfortunately they could not give us any more direction, so our service manager said he would come as he has over 35 years experience.Many times Dale can fix issues that no one else can. Dale tried at least 3 times to schedule with you, and was advised you were only available after 4:30 pm, which he cannot do, as he would need the tech line to report any findings, and they are not open after 4:00 pm, I know its incredibly frustrating to wait this long, and our service manager covers such a huge area, he can only come during certain times, as he may have a call in Downtown Vancouver and then out to Chilliwack, or Hope, that is the reasoning behind needing to schedule a time with him that fits within his schedule as well as tech line hours. I sincerely apologize and hope you understand that we are trying to get your service done as quickly as possible, and value you as a customer.

    I will point out again that another repair company came and fixed the issue in 5 min whereas your company took months of trying with no luck. Unacceptable. And I did make myself available during the day but was always cancelled on or had a horrible technician who didn't know what he was doing show up. Maybe **** would have been great but he kept cancelling on me.
