We signed a contract with ***********************, owner of AZ Siding to supply and install *********************** (panels) on the East, South and West sides of our house on September 7, 2019. The work with AZ Siding is guaranteed for 5 years. By the 3rd, 4th and 5th years the nails on the West and East side are exposed and are not flush with the ****** panels. In April 2023 I emailed ****** requesting that he look at the exposed nails. He replied the he "spent time in the hospital due to an accident and "promised he would sent someone to deal with the issue". In April 2024 I emailed ****** again requesting that he deal with the exposed nails. It is now July 13 2024 and I have not received a response from ****** and this deficiency remains outstanding.Any homeowner considering hiring AZ Siding is welcome to look at their deficient work.I do not recommend working with *********************** and AZ Siding.

We contracted AZ Siding to put siding on our home in the summer of 2023. The work was completed, though the permit with the city of Vancouver wasn't closed because of additional projects we had on the go with other companies. AZ pressured us to give the final payment even though the permit wasn't closed, stating that their work had been completed, so we should pay them. Apparently we were supposed to keep the holdback amount until the permit was closed with the city, but we didn't know this, and paid them in full for the work on November 17 2023. Fast forward to end of January 2024, we received a "Claim of lien" filed by Southridge Building Supplies, because AZ Siding failed to pay them $10,413.48. We spoke with the lawyer representing ********** and they said if we gave them the holdback amount, they'd remove the lien. We said we've paid in full (and showed receipts) and they said we shouldn't have, and would still be on the hook for $4500 unless AZ Siding paid the $10k. We've attempted to contact the owner of AZ Siding many times and have only received one email back in February saying they'd "be in touch". We've paid in full for the services AZ Siding provided, and we shouldn't have to pay more because they didn't pay a sub contractor (especially since they pressured us into paying before the permit was closed by the city).
