Contacted Sam's Garage because the garage opener unit stopped working in one of my places on ***** ** *** ******* **** **. They are the company who provided and installed it. I was told they new what the problem is and I will have to call the following week to set up an appointment for the repair after the part arrives. I did and set up the appointment for December 30th, 2022. They requested that I pay the amount of $179 plus tax before they would come out. I did Dec 18, 2022 invoice # *****. On Dec 30th their technician came in and spent just under 10 minutes and he said a reset is all what it needed and he didn't need to check anything else as he got the garage to work. After he left the garage opener worked once to open, once to close and then stopped working half way when open again! I contacted Sam's Garage but then I was told they will talk to the technician and let me know what happened. Few days passed and nobody called me. I called again and I was told they will check with the technician? Then I received an email from someone at Sam's Garage with the name Ben Y** he did look into my file and they are waiting for a circuit board to do the repair; (that was the same part I waited for to set up the appointment and I was told I needed in the first place?) Then he says that he does not know how long this will take and if I could have the whole unit replaced, it can be done faster but would cost about $600. I did reply that I do not mind replacing the unit and pay the $600 if need to get it done fast. Two weeks past and I didn't hear anything. This is when I decided to call someone else to do the repair. I had the unit replaced and working in two days by **** ****t. I called and emailed the office requesting a refund and after several emails they refunded the amount of $80 and they decided to keep $107.95 for a service and a repair they didn't provide. I was told that they were kind enough to give the $80 and this matter is closed according to them.
