    Sam's Garage Doors told us they would have the parts for Guardian and they service Guardian Garage Door Openers. They charged us $250 in advance for a service call, but when they came they said they didn't have the part. They came back a week later with a part from a different model. They THEN said we had to replace the entire unit for $1000, but when we looked into it we found they could order a $40 motor instead of the part inside, so they said they would come back in 2-3 weeks and install the motor. When they came back a 3rd time, they had the wrong part AGAIN and said it would be another 2-3 weeks to get the right part. We called Guardian and were able to order the part delivered within a week. We called ***** back and asked them to install the part, but they refused to install the part without additional payment, even though we had already paid for a service call, and they had told us they would come back and install the part as part of the service call. Eventually they just refunded our money and wasted our time. This company is a scam and wont help fix anything, they just want to sell you a new garage door they wont be able to service.

    I used Sam's Garage Doors after my garage FOBS were stolen from my vehicle and I needed to replace my motor. The person I spoke to (***) was very patient and helped answer all of my questions. On the day of install, I assumed *** would come but instead we had a technician. He was very sloppy and left wires everywhere. We called them back and they were fixed. Several months pass and the garage is no longer closing properly. We ask if someone can come take a look and I specified that they were to let me know if there was to be a charge - we know that the motor is under warranty. We had a technician come while I was at work and he fixed the issue. In the end, he says that the service was not covered under warranty and that we would be billed. I then received an email a few days later with an invoice for service. I asked them to clarify what work was done and why it was billed when I asked them not to do any work without our approval. I also stated that I do not consent to any charges on my card. Yesterday, I see that my card has been charged. I contacted the company and they said that they said that based on the job, the service was chargeable. I would have been ok to pay for a service call if that is what I was calling for. However for the company to just disregard my wishes to be informed beforehand AND then to charge my credit card without authorization has just left me with a bitter taste. I will not be recommending them
