      I live in Richmond and have been banking with Coast Capital for over 50 years, back when it was ******** *******. I am now beginning to wonder about the viability of the bank. They closed down my local branch (*********). Stood in line for 30 minutes today to get US funds. Finally get to the teller and they have no US currency. this is the main branch in the city of Richmond and they do not carry US currency. One of the reasons I stayed with Coast Capital is for the customer service. Very disappointed today.

      Could not be a worse bank to bank with. My business banking account is an actual joke. You would be better off banking with piggy banks. Can’t have auto deposit because if I do just some glitch that makes it so I can’t e-transfer out. So it must be turned off for me to do payroll. Can’t have my accounts linked because that also messes up e transfers….which are essential for payroll. If I could close this account now I would. Have to wait a few weeks for my appointment at another bank sadly.

      I have no problem with my free chequing’s account, online works OK. But investing with them is another story terrible advice, no follow up on my investments and RRSP’s, move them to another institution. I have been trying for days now to take out some ***** send email—no response; waited online far to long several times so hung up, will once again have to go elsewhere.

      Opened account online, didn’t work had to go to branch. Was to get a credit for adding pre authorization payments - nope. E transfers don’t work, so needed to get payments via cash or branch.
      Closed my account said give funds to charity I don’t have time to wait in a branch. Long story short - this free account costed me money !
