This business does not honor a signed agreement. On May 6, 2022 we went in to see about trading our vehicle in for a new **** ******. The sales person gave us a proposal sheet on a new vehicle that has been ordered from **** ******. The VIN # on this new vehicle was quoted, all the extra "packages" included and our trade-in value for our 2 year old SUV was written down. We gave a $1000.00 deposit on that day and signed the agreement to purchase that new vehicle. We were told the deposit would hold the car for us, and if any pricing went up, we were covered with the signed agreement. We were informed, **** ****** was to begin "building" the truck June 6th and we could expect delivery mid to late July 2022. In early June we were informed there would be a delay in the "building" of the truck and it would now start early to mid July and we could expect delivery the end of August. At that time we were also informed to "not to worry about any extra miles on your current vehicle" it was Ford's delay. Today, Sept 10th, we were told our vehicle is in and ready. We arrived at the dealership and suddenly the price is $4000.00 higher than the signed deal. Apparently the dealership says they could no longer sell our SUV for the same agreed on trade-in value, "the market had softened"; that was the price difference. Buyer beware. A signed agreement with AM Ford means nothing.

These customers were great and a pleasure to be around. During their first visit to AM Ford in May of 2022, we placed a value on their 2020 **** on our worksheet pending safety inspection before it gets signed by our finance manager and transferred over to a contract. These customers put an order on an incoming **** **** ****** ****** with an ETA of June 2022. As this was not a factory order but rather an incoming vehicle, a dealership cannot lock in pricing.
The customers’ ****** did not arrive until September due to a continued microchip shortage in North America and unforeseen shipping delays. AM Ford has and always will use a quote or a worksheet before any deal is finalized as no dealership could set in stone a trade in value when a customer’s vehicle could take months or longer to arrive.
AM Ford did everything to work with these customers to try to overcome the delays, the status of market values on used vehicles and offering close to the original quote. The customers were adamant if we could not give them exactly what the quote on the worksheet was they would report us to the Better Business Bureau and purchase a vehicle at *****. As the customers were not willing to budge a dollar AM Ford apologized and refunded the customers’ initial deposit that day.

      **** ****** ******** ** *** *** ** ** ** ********** ** **** ** *** ***** **** *********** ** *** ** * ** ********** **** **** *** ********** ******* *** ******** *** *** ********** ** * **************  The "sales manager" folded his hands on the desk and said "the market has softened", and "if we had had your SUV in our possession in June, we could have made a "deal". I replied that I had phoned in early June and I was told then "not to worry"; implying that our original signing of a "deal" was a done deal. * *********** *** ******* ** ***** ****** ***** *************
