    October 14 2023. After a professional quote for stucco work to be done that week, we sent the $1000 deposit that was requested for materials. Six weeks later, and we have still not seen the guy. He keeps saying he will show up to complete work, and then also has given us excuses such as a family member being in the hospital on their deathbed. We have come to the realization that he is not worth our time anymore, and we will continue to pursue filing police report among other avenues to try to get our money back or at least stop this from happening to anyone else.

    On March 28th 2023 we engaged West Kootenay Stucco and Stone to repair and refinish the Stucco at our house (**** ****** ******* ********* ** *** ***). The quote we received was for $9743 to complete the work, we were promised that the work would start the following week. We paid a $3000 deposit straight away.

    Between March 28th and June 22nd we had endless promises from the contractor but no one ever showed up on site. On June 22nd they showed up and and finished the base coat by June 28th. Thru out this time I was ******** for advanced payments, with claims that work could not continue until more money was received. I paid another $4743 as was owed for the base coat. The owner stated they would be back July 12th to apply the finish coat to the property, since then I have sent multiple texts and calls that have gone un replied. The contractor left the site in a hurry leaving broken ladders and scaffolding all over our front lawn, The bill remaining is $2000 for the finish coat
