      Im not sure how this insurance company has an A+ rating. My experience with this company has been terrible and I feel that Square One insurance operates by preying on consumers who give the company the benefit of the doubt and trust that they would be conducting business in a transparent way. I purchased their Home Insurance beginning June 2025 and by the end of the month had a flood in my apartment that caused extensive water damage to my flooring and baseboards.When I went to submit the claim, I was informed that the Home Insurance I purchased did not cover my home and only personal property deemed movable. Hidden in their fraudulent practices was an option for Condo Owners Protection which was mixed in with options of insuring your boat, collectables, etc. Upon reaching out to Square One, it was clear to me that this practice of hiding the most important part of the insurance and allowing it to be optional is how it has tricked many consumers into paying for their policy but receiving nothing in return. All spokespeople for Square One referred to an email that was 1 of 7 in which you are bombarded with after your initial sign up and in that email, they make mention of the option.I highly encourage those who are looking to buy insurance of any kind to steer clear of Square One insurance. You will be belittled and made fun of by their employees for trusting that they would be conducting business ********* one of my phone calls with a sales representative, I was asked why would you pay for the insurance with these policies? If that is the case Square One, why would you be selling this if you are a good standing insurance company?

      They increased my rate after they took my money. I declined their new offer and they refused to give me a full refund. I bought the insurance on May 23rd and it was not effective until my current policy expired on July 15th. Five days later they increased my rate and I canceled the policy. They will not refund my money until July 15th. Makes no sense. I have never had an active policy with them. Don't buy from this company.

      Extremely Disappointed Rude, Unhelpful, and ********************** Ive never felt more dismissed and disrespected by a customer service team than I did with ********************** One **********************. My interactions with both ***** and Saphala were extremely upsetting. They were rude, condescending, and completely uninterested in actually helping resolve my concerns. When I expressed my frustration and said this was the worst customer service Ive ever experienced, Saphala literally laughed and sarcastically responded that she was sure Ive had worse.She continually spoke over me, refused to actually listen, and gave scripted, defensive responses that had nothing to do with the issue I was trying to address. At one point, both agents told me there was nothing they could do to helpuntil I asked for their names and said Id be writing a review. Then suddenly, Saphala said she would apply for an exception. Thats not customer servicethats damage control. It felt manipulative and insincere.Adding to my concern, I was originally told one thing by one agent (which I strongly disagreed with), only to be told by the next representative that the information was incorrect because the first ****** was new. For an insurance company to give false information about policy coveragethen not stand by what was saidis deeply *************** many other 1-star reviews have mentioned, Square One appears to be very good at signing people up and taking their money, but when it comes to claims, support, and communication, they fall painfully short. And, as Ive noticed from their responses to negative reviews, they rarely take responsibilityinstead, they say theyve reviewed the situation and insist their staff acted appropriately. Its a pattern of defensiveness and deflection rather than any real attempt to improve or ************ advice: don't waste your money. If youre looking for an insurance provider that will support you when you actually need them, look elsewhere.

      I would like to know how come BBB lets this company so called Square one insurance still in business after so many complaints by unhappy customers?I have been an non at fault accident with this claim #PA1259646 I reported the accident the same day,its been a month I have never heard anything from them,what upsets me even more is, every time I called them its the same thing all of them say' this is after hours department how can I help you? weather you call at 10am or 8pm this is after hours how can i help you/and then after you provide your claim number and policy # , they have the nerves to tell you that , i dont have access to your file but I will take your message, pass it on to the **************** and someone will give you a call within 24hrs, now its been a month my accident car is in my house, not even once someone calls to say that ' we are working on your case or something. I would like to hear from someone what to do? every months they go to your account get money for full coverage and now you need services from that company but all you get is silence from every ******* of the Claim manager's name is Karolina *********** I have also called her 10 times and letf messages , nothing BBB can you help us please? please help us .we all know where the office is in ******* and they are living laverage life by s******* people.

      Mr *** listen to me, This response is the same one you give to all the complaints against your company, everyone who wrote a complaint against Square one , you replied by saying that you are SORRY,We dont need to hear that, we need you to bring changes to the way your company operates and treats their customers, Specially the claim Department, because for any other reasons if someone calls square one they will be able to talk to someone, as long as its not for a claim.Stop saying sorry but go and make changes to that department so that less people will go and report your company to BBB.Have a nice day.Oslou ********

      Called them for a quote for home insurance. I had requested an online quote but wanted to go through it with them on the phone and clarify a couple things. The agent was rude and condescending. She was basically telling me off the whole time, why didn't you log in to your account to request quote ( I have car insurance with them so she had to do extra work to reconcile my account with the new quote), why did you select family use. I kept telling her it was an error and it's just me and she was asking if I have a family and kids. She was also making assumptions that the structure of the house was compromised just because the house was built in the 1900s even though I told her the recent inspection pointed to no serious issues. The quote was 3 times higher than **** clearly the agent misunderstood the condition of the house even though I pointed her to the realtor listing with recent photos showing it was fully renovated or they just slap an exorbitant premium on all old homes despite their actual condition.

      Our home was built 5 years ago. You get your TEMPORARY policy with an online application. You must have a call with one of their staff. It must be recorded calls they do not give you answers in emails. Your details are sent to the underwriters. Then you go back and forth with all their useless concerns like a patio door BOLTED SHUT you CANT open due to no railing or deck yet. Contractor had to install this mechanism or we couldnt get occupancy. They advise me to cancel my existing policy, they take a payment out of your account right away, then they deny your policy over a patio door we cant use. I was left with days to find another policy with a company before my policy expired. DO NOT cancel your existing policy until their rediculous under writers are fine scrutinizing things that dont matter.

However, it is standard procedure to have the application reviewed by underwriting, who may request additional information (like photos of the home) afterward. Unfortunately, the missing second-story deck is a liability that prevents us from insuring the home, regardless of how access to the patio door is restricted. We can usually work with the homeowner to offer coverage while such installations are being completed, provided there is an established timeline for those changes. But as we have explained, homes that still require some construction or renovation may be better served by a different insurance provider. Again, Im sorry youre not pleased with the outcome.       1-Claim isnt easy to deal with.2-Highly expensive their deductible 3-Looking reasons to cancel your insurance when it comes to claims not to pay.4-Focusing getting business not delivering services. So I give them D- for sure.5-Definitely not recommended this insurance company at all.

      They increased their offer for vehicle insurance by 100% because of a parking accident my wife had 7 years ago, which I wasn't aware of when filling out the application. $1650 more because of a dent 7 years ago. And now I have only 3 days left to find a new insurance for our 2 vehicles. WHY is there nothing like consumer protection in ******? WHY is there no competition in ******? A few businesses control the entire market. More than 5k for 2 vehicles with no accidents and incidents in the last 7 years. I have no words for that. It reminds me on ******* selling chicken breast for 36 CAD per kg, 2 years ago. Just because they can.

While we're usually able to issue a policy right away, we do still validate claim and driving histories afterwards. If we can verify the information provided in the application, there would be no change in the premium. If unreported claims or convictions are discovered, the premium is adjusted accordingly. I checked a few companies and I found Square One Insurance Services in **********When I started talking with ************************* after a short conversation I knew I called a very professional person. I was very impressed , that's why I am writing to express my great satisfaction with the service provided by Square One Home Insurance agent, *************************. Throughout the process of acquiring home insurance, ***** exhibited a remarkable level of professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge. He walked me through the application process, and kept me informed throughout the process. He was friendly, and very positive. I would recommend ***** very highly to everyone who is looking for home Insurance service.This year I bought a new house.       They are fighting me on almost everything. I would have been just as better off without insurance by saving the premium payments made to them for their "coverage". 8 months later and still fighting for fair compensation. Their website says "It's traumatic enough when something you love is lost or damaged, so we make sure the claims process is fair, fast and straightforward". But this has been the most painful insurance claim experience ever and it's made the trauma far worse than it needs to be.
