      I hold a Vancity enviro **** Infinite Privilege credit card, it offers travel ************ evidenced in the supporting documents, I filed with them in July/24. Claim # ******. There e mail is given on their form. I have sent then several emails, no response. I tried calling them by phone, long wait, person who answers unable to help so must be transferred, another long wait. Finally reach travel agent and get cut off. I pay by the minute for waiting so use their ******** response, My initial claim was accepted, I am unable to determine if they need mor information or not,HELP

      I was called by a number that came up as van ****. I called the number back when I saw it on my phone but it was not van ***** van **** wasn't mentioned it was a government collection agent. I then went to transfer my rent which is essentially all of my money as I am receiving wcb as a 100% injured worker, at that time I discovered that my account had been drained, including some kind of $50 fee for the privilege I suppose. I then called Van **** and spoke to someone who couldn't answer any questions, I've requested the transcript of that conversation. I was told the government agent also works for ***. *** as a 'special' agent which allows them to instantly steal money from people's accounts. This seems to me to have a lot of concerning issues, violation of my contract as a bank client, conflict of interest, violation of trust, not to mention emptying my fixed income the day before rent is due in a housing and homelessness crisis. They are not responding to my questions, and I want everyone to know that van **** is doing this. And I want to understand the legality of that.

      It wasn't a collection agent.  It was a staff member of van city who is also a provincial government employee.  ************** they are being called 'special agent'.  Do you understand now?  I'm pretty sure at no point did I say there was an external collection agent so I'm unsure where that came into play.  This was THROUGH VANCITY their worker, who is ALSO a government agent.   Does that help?

      I am rejecting this response because:

      there has been more than enough time to provide me a response, which I expect in writing.  I also requested the transcript of the conversation on the day my mo ey was stolen which I also have not received, I expect a hard copy in the mail and was told I would get one.  I was also told by email just the other day when I asked why vancity hasn't responded that they are no longer part of the BBB.   

      I Expect to receive the transcript, and a resolve to this in a timely manor, this situation put me in danger of losing my housing in a housing crisis, you have secret government agents working on the bank, and that needs to be addressed.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      they are lying.  I have requested the call transcript, it has not been received.  I have requested to be contacted IN WRITING as they are clearly liars and I want hard copies of what's happening.  The last response said I could be contacted in writing.  I have repeatedly told them IN WRITING I will not discuss anything with them in very the phone.  The fact that they are so resistant to put anything in writing should make it obvious that they are not wanting to be honest.  The ONLY correspondence I have received from van city is a registered letter stating THEY don't want ME as a customer any more and a cheque for $2.  Again that is the ONLY correspondence I have received, and that came in the last few business days, I received it today.   So AGAIN, clearly vancity has the ability to send me mail, why have they not sent the transcript I requested or the information I've requested.  When asking for correspondence from an untrustworthy business in writing and they absolutely refuse, it really says a lot about them.

      Dec 29th I sent an e transfer to pay for a prescription. Transaction is still stuck despite twice contacting Vancity about it through their secured website. Claimed I had to call to get it released for security purposes despite contacting them through the secured messaging system and telling them I'm unable to communicate in the phone due to a chronic medical problem with my vocal chords. Weren't able to give me an accessible option. $79.67. I had to pay the company from another bank.

      I received a letter from Vancity corporate office dated Feb. 28, 2023 stating that Vancity has reviewed its relationship with me and that it is closing all of my accounts as of March 28th of 2023. The letter gave absolutely no reason for this decision and all of my accounts are in good standing. I went into the local branch and spoke with the general manager on 2 separate occasions to try and find out why this decision was made and he could not offer any reason at all. I have a loan and a line of credit and a **** with Vancity all of which are in good standing and I want to know what I did that made them feel the need to close my accounts like that with barely any notice. I also have a mutual fund with them as well and switching everything to another bank is complicated and inconvenient not to mention that it doesn't feel very good to have a business basically tell me that they don't want my business and then not even say why. I also sent an email to the vancity head office and it's been a week now with not response.

      I am rejecting this response because: I have still not heard anything back from them about this matter that would help to resolve it. Every time that I have contacted Vancity I get told the same thing over and over and what they say is that they have made the decision to close my accounts and that the decision is made at a corporate level and that it is non negotiable and that they are unable to provide me any further details about why they have made the decision. They also state in the last email I received from them that someone from Vancity would be contacting me to help me navigate what to do about my lending products that they are forcibly closing. They are closing all my accounts on March 28th and they gave me less than 30 days notice to deal with it and I am not in the position to pay off all of my lending products with them. I really need help to figure this out and Vancity is stone ******* me and its not fair.

      I am rejecting this response because: This business has provided no context for the reasons behind the forced closure of all of my accounts and I just simply want to know if I have any potential liabilities attached to my name. I do have a strong suspicion as to why my accounts were abruptly closed due to recent events surrounding a Peer of mine who also had his accounts forcibly closed at Vancity. This individual had sent and received some e transfers with me over the last year or so and he is now currently in jail on ***** over **************************************************************************************************************** any other financial services. Now that I know roughly why Vancity has chosen to close my accounts it makes me very concerned about how this may affect me in the future. This individual has a long history of committing ***** and I don't want to be exposed any further and I also want to know if he sent me any *****ulent funds so that I can seek legal counsel if I need to.
