      I brought my 2010 Doge Ram 1500 into the Tsawwassen store due to a front end noise and a vibration in the steering wheel when driving. They had previously replaced both cv axels Feb 16th 2024 for $1442.45. The mechanic test drove and put it on the hoist and could not find an issue. The noise was not intermittent and was asked by passengers I have had in the truck what was wrong with it. The fellow behind the desk also said he took it for a test drive and did not hear any noise. I told them I was disappointed they could not find an issue and would have to take it elsewhere. The following Monday I took it to Fountain tire. They diagnosed the noise and vibration issue and replaced the bearing hubs. The truck now has no noise or vibration issue. I cannot believe they said there was no issue.

      I have had good service in the past, about 1.5 yrs ago but now I have had poor treatment as a customer and a terrifying experience. I have stored my tires with Kal Tire several seasons, I was informed that my summer tires were good for one more season when they put them on my vehicle. I had to take the car in to a very reputable repair shop and they looked the tires that were just put on and told me that they were unsafe and should not be driven on (they are not in the business of selling tires and they repair commercial vehicles for big companies.) I told Kal Tire that I had a report on the tires and that they should not have been put on- they are in the business of selling ********* am happy to have good tires- so weird! The Manager was rude to me but could not argue with the report on the tires. He refunded me $60.00 for something that could have caused me and others grievous injury! DO NOT GO HERE, PLEASE.

      Had winter tires swapped on rims and when I left the panel gave an alert saying there was a tire pressure monitor failure... took it back and had to pay $80 more to replace the sending unit they had broken. (I know this after having spoken to the guy who worked on replacing it... who said he found pieces rolling around in the tire)

      My wife brought our car for a tire change in mid afternoon and picked it up just before closing time. Our car was parked beside a marked parking spot, clearly on a driveway that is close to an entrance/exit to Boundary Rd. She did not see that the front bumper had been scratched on the left corner. So she drove off across the street to shop at Bosa. She was parked beside a **** on the left side so nothing happened to the bumper there. As she came back to the car, she saw the damage and proceeded to go back to Kal Tire right away. By then they were closed. The next morning, we went to Kal Tire to address the problem. The first attendant to help us said she would check the camera footage. She knew where the car had been parked. After reviewing the surveillance footage, she wanted to ask her manager if she could show it to us. The manager saw the damaged and was automatically pointing out that the car had been driven off the lot and so there was no proof that it had happened at Kal tire. Then proceeded to tell us the cameras didn't look at the cars parked. Someone lied to us and the damage definitely happened at this Kal Tire location. Our car was not parked with care as it was not parked in an actual parking spot, but rather in a clear entrance/exit to a busy road. Their lack of care has become our problem simply because my wife did not look around the car before leaving.Customers beware at this location, if most times they're probably ok, their carelessness and lack of responsibility with your vehicle once they're done may affect you like it is affecting us.

      I went in to get the journeyman to take out and install a brand new steering shaft torque sensor on my car that I bought myself and brought in to get changed the worker that did my car didnt align my wheel properly when putting the steering column back in and caused my sensor to get un aligned and my steering wheel turns all the way to the right as soon as my car turns on this problem has almost cause me and my partner to be in a roll over after then mechanic said my car was safe to take. I would never recommend going here for mechanic work if they considered my car safe.

      Purchased new tires and had winter tires swapped. Manufacturer's recommendation for inflation is 35 psi. One was at 34, two at 32 and one at 31!!!! Avoid the ********************* store.

      Bought snow tires at Kal tire North Hill store. When it came time to pay for the tires, their credit card authorizations machines did not work. I overheard the clerk tell the manager that they tried several times earlier in the morning and it didn't work before plus they reset the machines. I had left the vehicle about an hour earlier for installation.The manager then told me that I had to pay cash $1800 for the tires. He apologized and said there was a bank machine in the mall. I asked why isn't there a backup system that allows manual authorization of the credit cards using a human operator. I was NOT impressed. IF THIS PROBLEM EXISTED BEFORE I DROPPED OFF THE **** THEY SHOULD HAVE GIVEN ME THE OPTION OF COMING BACK ANOTHER TIME INSTEAD OF BLACKMAILING CUSTOMERS INTO PAYING CASH FOR A LARGE PURCHASE. I don't know about everyone else; I don't lug two grand worth of cash around.Had they TOLD me that earlier, I would have come back - it was Sept 23 NOT Dec 23. They probably took one look at my ******** **** GLB and said tough go get the cash. I'm giving this ONE star review for a total LACK of preparedness on the franchise's part on TWO ITEMS: FIRST, they did NOT warn the client you would have to pay cash when they KNEW there was a problem with the CC authorization machines - so I could have gone earlier while waiting for the vehicle to get the cash, and SECOND, they need to have back up systems for the customer not to be inconvenienced to the point of NOT having his/her vehicle back on time. Of course the customer DOESN'T matter anymore with ******************** - like I said if you appear to have the capability, you need to pony up - typical socialist attitude.

      I had my summer tires put on at a tire shop on Vancouver Island and drove to ****** several days later to visit my mother for a week. While there we were driving to an appointment and the car started making a knocking sound. Turns out the lug nuts on the front drivers side tire were loose. I drove to the closest tire shop which happened to be Kal Tire on ********** and thankfully the tire did not come off while driving! The folks at Kal Tire were immediately responsive despite my not having an appointment and tightened the lug nuts on all of the tires for free. Thanks Kal Tire!

      Called for an appointment for a tire slow leak repair. Quoted $50 OUCH! Right off the bat pushing other services like alignment and brake checks. Declined over the phone and stressed tire repair only. They checked all my tires prior to the repair and once again pushed the alignment and said if I didnt take care of it my tires would be junked. Once again I declined the alignment and insisted on the tire repair only. Car finally in for tire repair and they had prepared a quote not only for the alignment but for a front brake package and rear pad service for over $750. Despise these high pressure tactics. Finally got the car back and noticed a difference in the brake pedal, it felt stiffer and an air release type sound every time brake pedal depressed. Informed them about it and was told it was normal Overheard same tactics used on other clients in the waiting area as well. Will not be returning to any of their locations.

      Free flat repairs for tires bought in-store is a great policy.The staff at the Vernon location situated near to ****** Park went above and beyond to help me out: they stayed late on their last shift before the weekend on the night of a big PPV fight night event.If that isn't sacrifice I don't know what is, thanks Kal Tire ****** staff.
