      On June 17, 2023 I went to this company for an oil change. I was asked for my email. I asked clearly what the purposes of collecting that would be and said I absolutely don’t want sales or offer emails as it’s my primary email address. I was told explicitly it was for vehicle recalls ONLY. Under those terms and conditions only, I provided my email address. A short time later I received the first sales offer completely contrary to the specific purpose I provided my email address. I saw an unsubscribe function at the bottom of the email. I went through those steps thinking that would at least stop the spam type emails. Several days later I received another “sales” email. I replied directly to it stating the issue and demanding my email address be fully and completely removed from their database. I was told to use their “unsubscribe” function - which I had already done but failed. They missed the more important point - that their ********* business practice of advising the email was being collected for the sole purpose of RECALL notification was ******* **** **** * *** to harvest contact information and spam customers with ***** sales ads. I have had several more emails from the location and a few additional FULLY UNSATISFACTORY replies from the manager *** ******* ******** ** ** ********** ***** ** ***** **** ** *** ****** ** ******* ***** **** *** * ******* * *** *** **********  

      I want my email DELETED beyond doubt (not archived or rendered inactive) from their entire database with assurance from the head of their IM/IT DIGITAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT THIS HAS BEEN ACTIONED.

      This complaint has been dealt with by the company head office and is satisfactorily concluded in my opinion at this time. I can close this process and withdraw my complaint at this time.
