  We had an issue with a leak in an outside water line. HomeWise immediately arranged to come out to evaluate the situation and booked a time for the work to begin shortly thereafter. From office personnel to their plumbing crew-- all were timely, courteous, professional and very efficient. We have no hesitation in recommending HomeWise and in fact have already done so.

  The requested plumbing services were completed quickly and professionally, but their invoice was much higher than I was led to believe it would be. Unsubstantiated charges, uninstalled parts, undefined 'extra' costs, plus a previously undisclosed dispatch fee pushed the total over 65% higher than the initial verbal quote of $500. After I submitted a formal written request for an amended invoice noting these disparities, the original quoted cost was honoured, however the $125 Dispatch Fee + GST was still added on top.
  Four days after full payment was made through a verified bank E-Transfer, an "invoice due" reminder was sent by email requesting immediate payment for work completed just ten calendar days earlier, despite their 30-day, interest-free payment period still being in effect.
  As I stated, the work was performed well, but 'accounting errors' and a previously undisclosed dispatch fee was both financially shocking and highly questionable.

  I have reviewed this invoice to understand. It looks like this was perfectly handled already via private email with our owner, Dave. We quickly double-checked the parts and reduced it accordingly. The "extra parts" sounds bad when you put it that way. Actually, to be clear, any time we go to the supplier and buy a bunch of parts for a job, we are not going to list every single one of them on the invoice. That would take way too much time. We add individual parts from our items list if it's a smaller job. For anything purchased from the supplier, we will add a "parts supplier" task with the total cost of parts. This is completely standard and we are always happy to answer questions about what that parts total might include. Beyond that, there are incidentals purchased/used on jobs that need to be covered such as bags, rags, poly, gloves, etc. That $10 extra charge was to covered those sorts of things. We only charge for what is actually used. None of these charges are standard on our invoices. We charge $125 per hour of actual work + the cost of parts. Essentially, we bill to cover our time, and we are always open to making adjustments if needed. To finish, we always expect payment upon completion of our work. The fact that we don't charge interest for the first 30 days, does not mean that we aren't expecting payment. Thank you.

  Pleasure to have Riley come out to install a toilet and kitchen faucet. Friendly, professional and great attention to detail. I'll be using HomeWise Plumbing and Drainage again. Recommended!

  I called HomeWise to install two toilets. Josh installed them and took away the old ones and was courteous, friendly and professional. Interesting note: he recognized that the wax rings provided by the manufacturer were not up to HomeWise's standards, and used a different brand -- at no extra charge. I called HomeWise because one of their bases is in East Sooke, which made them very convenient for us in East Sooke; but it also makes them very convenient for customers in Sooke, Metchosin, Langford and the Royal Bay area.
