We hired Weather Pro Windows and Doors to install many windows, a back door and a storm door in our home. The salesman, Vladamir was great and install was great, however I questioned the storm door as it is VERY low quality. My mom had the same company install her door and it is beautiful but I was told they do not have those doors anymore. Then we had clouding between the window panes in the diningroom window. Vladamir came out and he saw the clouding. Pictures were submitted and the installer from Weather Pro came out and said we were not cleaning our windows properly. I will mention that I was outside and my husband was inside and we were scrubbing the window using ****** Window cloths but it would not come off BECAUSE IT IS BETWEEN THE PANES!!!!! Now we noticed spider cracks running under the window and down the wall AFTER they installed the window. Once again the installer came out and said it is from a small crack on the outside of the wall that has been there for over 20 years or from the attic. Then how is it on the inside wall UNDER THE WINDOW???.

    Hello Pam,

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we fully understand your frustration.

We’re pleased to know that you were happy with the service provided by Vladimir and that you're satisfied with the appearance of the windows. That said, we take product quality and warranty concerns seriously, and we regret that you feel your concerns have not been properly addressed.

To clarify, clouding between glass panes is not related to surface cleaning. If there is a seal failure, this is typically covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. Our Head of Installation visited your property to inspect both the glass and the wall cracking. He confirmed there were no signs of fogging between the panes at that time, and also noted that the wall cracks are unrelated to the window installation and likely due to the natural settling or age of the home.

Our service department previously requested that you send a photo if fogging becomes visible. Please keep in mind that if the fog appears during early morning hours and disappears by midday, it is not a seal failure. This is condensation on the outer pane, which can occur due to temperature fluctuations and is not a warranty-covered issue.

Regarding the storm door, we understand your disappointment. Product models and specifications may change over time depending on supplier availability and demand.

We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to address your concerns. Should you have any further questions or wish to continue the conversation, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Last spring I had Weatherpro replace all my windows and doors through the greener homes grant. I was very happy at the time of completion because I knew nothing about installation. Recently I had my kitchen renovated and my contractors pointed out 2 windows that were installed incorrectly. Crooked and not flush to the exterior wall. This is a concern since I have been dealing with water damage for the last couple years and the reason i anted to replace them. I just want them to fix the windows so we can complete everything from the inside as well.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/02/2025

    Dear Lindsay,

To begin with, you reached out to us regarding this concern 10 months after the installation was successfully completed. Your third-party contractor, who is handling your kitchen renovation and is unfamiliar with how the windows function, mentioned to you visible deviations based on the photos you provided—four months after installation. However, upon reviewing the photos, we see no issues with the windows.

Our service department, along with the original installer, has assessed the situation and confirmed that the windows were installed according to the existing interior drywall at the time of installation, fully aligning with the terms of our original contract.

If you now have specific requests due to your contractor’s renovation, we can offer a solution: we can return and reinstall the windows after your renovation is complete. However, since this falls outside the scope of the original installation, additional labor costs would apply. If you’d like to proceed with this option, please contact our office directly.

Additionally, please note that your windows are covered by a lifetime warranty. If there is a genuine issue with the windows unrelated to your renovation, we are more than happy to assist you.

Let us know how you’d like to move forward.

I am rejecting this response because:

This matter was brought to my attention from my contractors, professionals in the trade.10 months or 5 minutes, it should not matter. This is a job that should have been finished correctly. I trusted your business on a job that cost almost **g. I do not that this matter lightly. I want the windows fixed and flush to the house so its not crooked and hanging away from the house. My contractors can't finish the inside of the house until the windows are fixed.

    Sincerely,

We are happy to accommodate the customer's request for additional service; however, this would incur an additional cost as it falls outside the scope of our original agreement, which has already been fulfilled. The installation was completed correctly, with the windows fitting perfectly into the existing openings at the time. Any renovations occurring now are unrelated to our previous work.

That said, we are more than willing to proceed with the reinstallation if the customer wishes, but it would not be free of charge. To arrange the service and confirm the associated costs, the customer can reach out to our service team at **********************

Thank you for reaching out regarding this matter.

I would like to clarify that at the time of the installation appointment, everything was installed correctly as per our standard procedure. Our lead installer reviewed the job and confirmed with the customer that the installation was completed properly. However, more than 10 months after the installation, the homeowner began renovations. At the time of our work, there was no mention of any upcoming renovations, and we proceeded with the window installation as usual.

On January 17th, as per the customer's request, we sent our installer for a service call. Upon reviewing the situation on-site, the installer confirmed that the windows were installed correctly. The issue now arises due to the new wall, which is not level. This is an important point for the homeowner to understand—the windows were originally installed level, but the new wall itself is not. If we proceed with reinstalling the windows as the homeowner is requesting, they will no longer be level, potentially leading to operational issues, including difficulties in opening and improper functioning of the window sills.

While we have explained these concerns to the homeowner, they are still requesting the reinstallation. Although we do not recommend this due to the potential risks, we are willing to proceed if they insist. However, it is important to note that this would be an additional service, as it falls outside the scope of the original installation contract. Our warranty covers materials and labor for any defects or performance issues, but in this case, there are no issues related to the original installation. As such, the requested work would require additional labor, which would need to be covered by the homeowner.

We have offered the homeowner a solution and are prepared to move forward with the reinstallation if they agree to the associated cost. However, we want to ensure they fully understand the potential issues this could create.

I hope this explanation provides clarity, but please let me know if you have any suggestions on how best to address this concern further. ******** *** ********** **** *** ******** *** **** **********

i installed Windows and patio door from Weather pro Windows in my home. during installation of door, one of the installer broke my dinning room ceramic tiles. Later when i asked them to fix those tiles they denied it and start threatening to take me into the court if i didn't pay the rest of the money which i put on the hold until they fix my tiles.
I tried to talk to their senior manager as well but all of them are same. i am not sure what i can do about it. they told me if i didn't pay the rest of the money until July 12th, 2024 they will take me to the court and as a decent person i am afraid to go to court.

The installation for this project was completed on May 16, 2024. It was confirmed that the damage to the tiles occurred before the installation. According to the contract terms and conditions, all balances are due upon substantial performance unless otherwise specified. While our installers do not specialize in tile replacement, WeatherPro has provided the customer with a $400 goodwill gesture.

I had windows and door installed on my house. The installers left a wire hanging out (apparently alarm wire) they didn’t put it back behind the trim
They did not fill in all holes in frame on door and they missed some silicone on outside window
They damaged the wood on the outside of the house when they were removing the old windows
They did not caulk the floor I front of the door
They did a horrible job on the trim work around the door

I have tried to reach out to them but they will not address all the issues
They said I have to contact my alarm company for them to put the wire back (not sure why since the installers removed it from the trim )
I have threatened to stop my ********** payment as I did not get what I paid for

    Business Response

    Date: 16/12/2022

Dear BBB of Manitoba and Northwest Ontario,

After the completion of installation on 2022-12-12, we were contacted by the customer on 2022-12-14 about the wiring that was not put back behind the trim. As per our installer, this wiring is connected to the customer's alarm system and while our installers are able to remove alarm detectors if required on the day of installation, our company is not responsible for alarm system parts re-installation as per the contract and therefore we kindly referred the customer to contact their alarm company in regards to this matter. We then informed the customer that if we send the installer back to put the wire behind the trim then we will need to remove the casing however it will leave more holes. We asked the client to confirm if that works as a possible solution however the reply we received was not clear. We found out about the rest of the issues the customer is encountering after the installation and therefore we have left a voice message and sent email to the customer to schedule a service appointment for December 22 to fix the issues with the windows and door and are waiting for the customer's response.

If you have any questions or need more information from our side please do let us know.

    Sincerely,

    Weather Pro

Someone came out today but I am still waiting for them to repair the flooring trim around the door and for them to provide me with the wood filler for the damage on the trim around the outside windows

I had the installation of two windows in my home on July 25th 2022 by weather pro windows and doors. One of the windows that needed to be replaced was my window in my basement bedroom. I had a small window in the basement bedroom so they did have to cut a larger window and replace the window well. Everything seemed fine until that evening we did have a huge thunderstorm and rain storm. There was water about a quarter of the way up my window well and water was just flowing into my basement. I then contacted Weather Pro Windows and Doors and asked why the water wasn't draining properly, they claimed that it was my weeping tiles. Throughout the whole spring and winter I never had any flooding in my basement. After bailing out the water from my window well I noticed there was nothing but mud at the bottom of the window well, there was nowhere for the water to go. After going back and forth with the company for several days and weeks they finally agreed to come out and put drain and gravel so that the water can flow down and drain. Weather pro windows and doors came out on August 11th 2022 and install the drain in the window well. The next time we had a thunderstorm and rainstorm my window well filled up with water again. At this point I did get my insurance company involved and I did have conversations with foundation expert companies. My insurance company said this is due to faulty workmanship and they will not cover any of the damages and the foundation expert companies said that this is the window company's responsibility to fix. The pipe that they installed does not go all the way down to the footing I don't think that they went far enough down. I have emailed the company today, on August 24th 2022 I haven't yet heard a response from them.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have spoken with multiple contractors and window professionals within Winnipeg, including foundation experts. All have informed me that with an egress window installation, proper drainage is also required. If that was something that weather pro didn't do, why was I not informed?

There is not an issue with my weeping tiles, nor have I asked you to perform such work. That is not the issue. A pipe leading to the footing of my house was needed as well as gravel around the pipe. Nothing was done. I had mud sitting at the bottom of my window well.

Since you did not come to complete your work I have had to take multiple days off work and work in this myself, I dug all the way to the footing and checked my weeping tiles, there is no issue there. And since I have done the work myself, properly, there has been no more leakage. My insurance company has also confirmed that the damage is due to faulty workmanship on weather pro windows and doors part.

As professional contractors and a company that specializes in this type of work, I would think that you would have informed the homeowner if additional work needed to be done. However, this was not the case. Resulting in me having over $15,000 worth of damage to my property.

I do not accept your response.

    Sincerely,

    Chelsea ********
