      We paid Day & Ross $600 to transport a heavy duty tool chest and antique sewing maching from New Brunswick to Alberta, both units albeit used were in MINT condition and packaged properly for transport. When the items were received, it was discovered that both items were heavily damaged, tool chest body scratched and dented rendering unusable and antique sewing machine unit broken. After submitting the claims forms and pictures of evidence, as well as an acknowledged note from the driver on the proof of delivery that the items were damaged, the claims department rejected our claim. The condition of these items looked like they were salvaged from a derailed train car.

      Hello I had an item shipped from Alberta to British Columbia. Pictures show the item on the truck leaving Alberta the Box was in perfect new condition. When it was received at my home in Surrey British Columbia the box was in very poor condition being dropped, I'm not sure how many times maybe due to the item being heavy. Inside the box was an expensive electronic pinball machine to which had many damage points to it. Finally after attempting for weeks to get a hold of day and Ross through phone calls and emails they finally responded back to me. They deny and claim no responsibility of their own for any of the damages. They did ask for information which I provided from the very beginning and in the information as well as a pictures I sent clearly show the dates, and damages, of when the pictures were taken from the moment it got to my home. I do have all the emails saved as well as a record of all the phone call attempts. I could send that over to you as there is many of them if needed.

      We purchased a custom bathroom vanity from an artisan who sold their products online. As part of the purchase, we paid $200 to have the item shipped. The seller chose to ship with Day and Ross.

      Upon delivery, we noticed that the box was damaged, so, before taking the item off the truck, we opened to box and saw that there was significant damage to the item. The seller had instructed us not to accept the delivery if the item appeared to be damaged. We refused the delivery.

      Three weeks later, and both the seller and we have spent hours on the phone with Day and Ross trying to figure out what happens next. The seller said that they would be willing to repair the item free of charge if Day and Ross would be willing to ship it both ways. The Ottawa office of Day and Ross is demanding that shipping both ways be paid, either by us or the seller, and then a claim be filed afterwards.

      Another option would be for us to go and unwrap the rest of the item and assess the full degree of the damage. Day and Ross has refused to let us go to their location to do a full assessment of the damage.

      Since neither the seller nor we are willing to pay an additional $600 in shipping, our item is stuck in Ottawa - damaged.

      When we have called, the phone centre indicates that Day and Ross Ottawa should be covering the return shipping, but the Ottawa office refuses to take any ownership of the problem.

      All we want is to receive the vanity that we paid for in good condition.

      I booked a shipment under order id#DRQ601322 0047284605 scheduled for pick up in Winnipeg for 10am - 12am and my order still hasn't been picked up. it's now 3:41pm. I called customer service and was told that 2 attempts were made to pick up with no phone call to try and contact the shipper. I say that because they were there all morning crating and waiting for the driver. I was told by customer service that if they are to busy to pick up that they will close it out with that as explanation. I spoke with 2 agents who tried several times to get in touch with dispatch and they couldn't get through!!! The first rep said they should've called the contact number which is why it is provided. I was also told that they could be too busy on the dock to answer the phone!! Really? No one to inquire at that level shipment and pickup issues? I am so upset. I really counted on and needed this shipment. Today was the last day to pick up my package as they are closed for a week for summer vacation. I am so stressed out. They charged my card and no service provided with a valid explanation. Again I just don't know what to do now. Too late at this point to find another carrier this late!!!

      We shipped a one of a kind medical recliner (this model is no longer being made) on June 28th, 2022. They had promised to deliver it within a week. After two weeks and the tracking showing no updates, we had called Day & Ross for an update, at which point they told me the item was lost after several "dock checks". We've had several items lost by Day & Ross before, but losing this item is the last straw. Either items are routinely being stolen or damaged by Day & Ross warehouse employees which is a gross negligence.

      They should be able to review CCTV footage to find out what happened with this item, but we suspect they simply do not care to look into the issue further. This is a medical grade item for an individual in a health-care facility, and they do not deserve to be told "it is lost, there is nothing we can do".
