I purchased a ** upright freezer from ****** ********* ** ********* ** on April 25, 2024. The freezer alarm went off a few times where it was cooling and I had to press the turbo freeze to get it to cool. We go away for weeks at a time. Who is going to take care of this alarm. On September 19 it stopped freezing. I contacted ** and they were arranging a service call from a tech. The tech arrived the next day and said I need 2 new computer boards to repair the freezer. I was told parts would be in soon but they were not. Then told parts in Sept 28 which they were not. I escalated this issue to G****** ******** ******* *** ** **. He was going to escalate with tech. I am now two weeks without a freezer, no end in sight. I think this is deplorable to wait 2 weeks for parts. I want ** to replace my defective freezer for a new one.Customer Answer

I purchased a GE washer dryer combo unit and it worked fine for 10 months. At that point it stopped drying the clothes. I have made more than a dozen calls to GE and they have had two technicians come out to attempt to repair it
Each time they told me that the machine is operating normally. This is despite me explaining to them that it used to take approximately two hours to dry an average sized load and the last attempt at using the dry cycle I ran ran the dryer for 8 hours and the clothes were still wet.
I had the issue escalated to management and they told me they would have an answer from their design technicians in 24 to 48 hours. That was 10 days ago.
I paid almost $2000 for a washer/dryer combo that after just 10 months is now just a washer and no one at GE seems interested in fixing the piece of garbage.
I require assistance from the BBB to mediate a solution to this issue as I do not know where else to turn at this point

Glass induction top cracked and new cooktop glass surface was purchased. When new product was received, there was bracket was not glued on. Another glass cooktop was ordered, same problem when taken out of the box. GE will not resolve problem, we have to pay out of pocket and hire someone to glue the bracket on. GE cannot say what glue is used to glue the bracket on. Additionally I am wondering if the product needs to be recalled as I received 2/2 products with the same issue.Business Response

Mid August 2023, purchased GE washer, at ******** ******** * ********* Tillsonburg Ont.
Within minutes of starting the washer, as it was agitating, the loud squeaking, screeching noise so loud it was unbearable, it was absolutely defective sounding like an airplane engine sound.
Called to appliance store within minutes of starting the load, this was on a Thursday repairman came on Monday. I was informed by him that the inside of the washer would need to be replaced, he confirmed that it would have to be changed out. I didn't want that but a new washer instead
He would have to be in touch with Ge to have another new washer delivered. This became a month later waiting for contact with GE
when they finally said the delivery company would be in touch with me for date & time of delivery.
I never received a phone call from delivery company, they just showed up on my doorstep at 8am to deliver the 2nd washer. I let them bring in washer, take away defective washer.
Once again starting the machine same loud screeching noisy agitation. Called to store arranged for their repairman to come again
By this this time we are getting to be at least over a month since first purchase. Their repairman came again, only to tell me that this is how the machine sounds. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I don't want this machine. Why didn't GE or repairman tell me this from first service call.
IF I KNEW FROM THE VERY BEGINNING WITHIN THE WEEK OF OWNING THE MACHINE THAT GE HAS HORRIBLE UNACCEPTABLE WASHING MACHINES WITH BAD REVIEWS I WOULD SENT THIS BACK WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK WANTING FULL REFUND. INSTEAD I WAS TOLD TO HAVE GE send 2ND WASHER.
I then needed to deal with G.E to have their repairman come which once again was time consuming. Only to be told once again this is how this washer sounds. Once again THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE and unbearable listening to the noise as agitating screeching squeaking.
I needed to deal with the store to get my money back, I don't want this washer. To deal with the store meant I was being charged 25% restocking fee. I wanted the owner to give me full refund and for him to deal with GE. Instead it became my problem to take care of with no resolution other than to return the washer costing me 25%, so approximately $200 and also $100 for the store to pick up the unit costing me a total of $300.
The store & GE should have given me back my money instead of giving the excuse that this is how the washer sounds. Terrible customer service from both parties.
At the store's request, he wanted GE to come again to look at the machine, January 2024, for what I don't know I wanted to return this to the store in January, made arrangement for it to be returned with a family member only to be told by the owner he was talking to his GE rep and for me to wait, which one week later, then informed GE service man coming again! 4 service calls!!
Just wasting my time, trying not to give me back my money. Feb 13th 4th service done only to be told the same thing. Its the same machine, it hadn't changed I want GE and Hurley's to give me back my money. The washing machine is now at Hurley's store in Tillsonburg I returned it on Feb 15, 2024Customer Answer

I have attached copy of my receipt.
I want to add that from the very beginning I want the store to fully refund me my money and have the store deal directly with GE and not put me in the position to take of this the last few months of the year, and then to be told by the store owner in January that they were THEN going to deal with GE on my behalf to try to help me get my money refunded, when all along they should have been dealing with GE.
I firmly believe that GE needs to refund me my money, this is an UNACCEPTABLE product that I have purchased.

Microwave since day one of use is malfunctioning. Been reaching out to GE Service for a month. They offered to send a tech for repair, however, since the tech was here (weeks ago) the problems are multiplying. There are now so many issues, we are worried about a fire hazard. This is the second machine of the same model in 3 years. Because it is so new, we do not accept repair (even if possible) as a new machine should not have theses issues, we worry more problems will continue to mount. GE says if they cannot repair machine they will replace it, we first asked for replacement, as it did not work out of the box, they refused. Now with extra malfunctions and poor service we want our money back. We are sorry we purchased a GE product.Customer Answer

I bought the stove approximately two weeks ago brand new and paid $3000 on it within two weeks. The main oven control panel has stopped working you cannot turn on the oven nor can you use the oven because when you get it on you can’t get it off Today a technician came and tells me it needs a new control panel for the top but he has no idea when we receive this. A letter was sent to Customer Relations November 26, 2023 with no resolve. I got an email from them on Dec. 14
Washer was purchased June 2019. The treaded bolt that attaches the machines agitator to the interior drum, rusted out and sheared off. The regional certified represented was in to inpeact it and try to repair it. He said in all of his years he never had seen this in a washing machine. He said the rusted bolt had been an ongoing issue and should have been covered by warranty.
As a result I was forced to incur other costs at the expense of their defective machine plus having to buy a new machine. All photos will be attached.
After several email followups with them they denied full compensation or replacement. They only offered help with repairs but the technician had clearly stated it was beyond repair. If it could be rebuilt it would have been it would have cost $650, which is not far from the cost of a new appliance, or in some cases cheaper to buy. They said if they i didn't have it repaired that was all they could do. When I bought a new machine, the old was taken away and so GE has ****** ***** ***** of all of this.Customer Answer

She asked what did I want and I told her I wanted compensation that there was a copy of my expenses with all the photos etc. that was sent to them. I asked if she saw the photos she said Yes. I told her we might come to an agreement but she said they couldn't do anything, told her I would let you know and follow up on other contacts. I had also asked after I first contacted them if they would e-mail me instead of phone calls but that didn't happen.

We bought the GE White 14.1 cu ft frost free upright freezer from costco on Jan 15,2023 for $1242.99 (inc tax). It was delivered on Jan 26, 2023. Our freezer tripped the breaker without warning on Apr 2nd resulting in a loss of food. We contacted GE who sent an appliance technician who suggested that the circuit was likely overloaded. We called an electrician on Apr 19th who installed a dedicated circuit for the freezer for $600. At the end of May, the freezer tripped the circuit again (2x in one week) resulting in further loss of food. The total loss of food was $300 at this point. GE contacted a technician who suggested the breaker and circuit should be checked. We had an electrician check our new breaker and circuit and they found nothing wrong (reports are attached). GE sent a technician from Lincoln appliances who checked the freezer and could not find anything wrong and so GE continues to insist the problem is electrical. However no other appliance in our basement trips our circuit. Although the freezer is working, it is doing something that is causing the breaker to trip randomly resulting in the freezer shutting off with no warning and food spoilage. Clearly, the freezer is defective and we cannot use it. We are still under the one year warranty, but GE are not standing by their warranty and replacing the freezer.Business Response

We have dispatched 2 Service orders for technicians of 2 different companies to review the situation described by the customer one prior and one after the electricians visits and, after checking the appliance and consulting with technical support both technicians have reported back to us that there was no fault to be found with the appliance itself but rather an issue with the electrical installation at the home. Customer was advised that their electrician would have to review this issue.

I purchased a GE fridge last year, and it's been nothing but a problem for us. We've had a tech come out 4 times already for cooling related issues, where our fridge section freezes our food (I've measured the temperature as low as -10C in the fridge). We've had food spoilage multiple times because of this. The last time the tech came, he said 'I did some stuff to the computer', and wasn't confident that it would be fixed. GE refused to replace it with a new one, saying only the tech can decide if it's not able to be repaired. So now I'm looking at a fifth visit, more spoiled food, and more lost time from work. I would appreciate an exchange as I do like the fridge, but obviously I've been given a lemon.Business Response

I spoke with cst, Mr. ***** **** a few minutes ago & he confirmed our tech rectified the issue this week, therefore the unit has already been repaired.
Service Order: 9412469834 concession provided by previous manager the customer spoke with last month, therefore this was with no charge to the cst.
