I received terrible service from Archadeck. I’m not going into details, but it was the most frustrating, aggravating experience in a renovation/addition. If they don’t have people to work outside of Halifax municipality, or workers who just can’t or won’t travel, then they shouldn’t take on jobs outside of Halifax. Also, through lack of communication among staff, the wrong plan was erected and had to be taken down. Back to square one. I didn’t get any compensation for time wasted. I wasn’t even given priority seeing it was their fault for the delay. Things just dragged on. There wouldn’t be anybody on site for days. I was told that the younger people wouldn’t travel because they had young families?. The carpenter that could travel resented being there. We appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. Archadeck strives to provide quality in our workmanship and project management. We did our best to ensure the design was constructed per your desires and our specifications, fix any mistakes along the way, give you quality work and that your project was moving forward at all costs. The COVID Pandemic was very much active during your project which played a big part in the delays as there were shortages in materials and labour across the province. We started constructing the screen room early April 2022 and realized by the end of April that the room size was smaller than it should have been, unfortunately this was an error on our part. To make it right for our client, we demolished our work and started rebuilding in early May. By the end of June the room was re-constructed at the right size with Archadeck covering all material and labour costs. We tried to streamline this process as much as possible as this set back was not ideal for our client nor us with the delays COVID had already brought on. One of them being the siding that had an extended arrival date of October 2022. By mid July we had a Punch List agreed upon with you (the final list of items to be completed), all of which was completed and your project paid in full. We sympathize with you and feel bad that at the end of our process, Fiona caused damage to your newly constructed screen room. We can only imagine it was very upsetting/frustrating. We can not fix the past but we will continue to work to improve our customer service, your feedback is important to us and we take it wholeheartedly. Archadeck did a wonderful job on my new deck. They used ********** for the stone paver overlay whose work was amazing. I love the pattern and the cuts were done exactly. The whole team from stone work to carpentry were lovely. Thank you so much!Archadeck of Nova Scotia
