    I came to get my Hyundai Elantra diagnosed in June, 2023 and it was regarding head lamp recall. They told me they will be ordering new head lamps because my high beam isn't working.
    I did not receive any communication for a couple of months. When I called in between I was told I need to bring my car again for diagnosis and then they will be ordering headlamps. I tried to explain to them that I'm already waiting for new head lamps and ****** ******* did not call me. (I even sent an email to one of the service advisors, *****, I did not receive any response)
    Anyway, they scheduled an appointment for 15th December. I dropped my car in the morning and when I went to pick it up in the evening I was told the headlamps did not arrive. I was angry and upset. Why would you call me and make me drop my car only to tell me oh the parts did not arrive. I spoke to *** (service manager) and I told how urgent it is because I'm trying to sell my car and it is a safety issue. He assured me that he will call me next week and get the parts expedited. He simply ****. I never received any call or text from him or Hyundai.
    I waited for almost 2 months and I did not receive any communication. I decided to call back. They scheduled an appointment for March 7th. I asked for assurance for the headlamps and they said parts will arrive before March 7th. I left my car and guess what? I was again told that the head lamps are not in stock. This is absurd, I cannot believe how ********* ****** ******* Halifax is. Fyi Service advisor told me that they call me next week and it is 20th March I did not receive any call. They **** again. Ridiculous!!
    I'm sad, upset and angry at the same time. They are ***** *** ********. At this point of time I can tell ****** ******* is ************ ***** **** ** ******* **.
    For almost a year I've been driving my car without a high beam. ** * **** **** ** ******** *** ** ** **** ****, ****** ******* ******* ** ****** ***********.

    I recently purchased a 2019 Tucson and had serviced a few times @ Steele Hyundai..This vehicle only has 70,000 km only to have engine blown .. was contacted back via manager Jim S only to tell me this isn’t covered under warranty as oil was clumped ?? Sent in receipt of oil change 7 months ago only to be jerked around for 36 days ..****** **** ** *** *** * ******* **** ***** ****** … OH and keep in mind there is a recall on the engines

    Without getting into the details of your case,  I am sure any readers would be curious to know what would cause Hyundai Canada to reject a warranty claim for an engine under warranty.


    As a Hyundai dealer we strive to get all warranty claims approved.  


    In the case of a significant claim like an engine, this process includes pictures with the valve cover removed, as well as proof of regular oil changes. 


    As an operator of a motor vehicle under warranty, the manufacturer requires the owner to maintain the vehicle (which includes regular oil changes).


    In general terms (without getting specific) if oil changes are not completed, the oil will turn into sludge and prevent it from properly lubricating the engine.


    Your dissatisfaction seems to be mis-directed.


    If you feel Hyundai Canada should replace your engine under warranty, I would take it up with them.


    That being said we are always happy to help customers with any and all warranty claims. In your case we built the best case we could with the information provided.
