    Ordering from East Coast Wholesale Lobsters was a pleasure, very easy and simple process so I thought! Once the order was placed I did not receive confirmation of shipment so I called ***** directly, explaining to him the situation and gave my information regarding the order. After a few hours ***** called me back stating the Berwyn Alberta is not Next day delivery even after it says on the list you select from it is over night delivery. Even Grand Prairie is a two day delivery and does not state that either. I ordered on a Thursday and it was to be delivered on Friday, I spoke with ***** and through his tracking process it was made clear the package was not going to be here till Monday or Tuesday the next week. I was instructed by him I was to receive the package from ***** (even though their online disclaimer says to not except it if there arew any issues) I was instructed to lay all the contents ($820 worth of live lobster and scallops) on the table and take pictures and send pictures and shipping labels which I did . All lobsters were not moving, I was directed to not cook or eat them and to discard them. Which was done. After 2 attempts were made nearly a week and a half later, still no response. I asked for a refunded or replace the order, to date no response nor compensation has been made. Very poor business in my opinion!!! at least refund a persons money as we followed the correct channels on THEIR web site as stated .

    Patrick placed an order from us and thought our ecommerce catalog interacted directly with our courier service we use. It pre populates all the cities and towns automatically when selecting a province. The list it shows has nothing to do with when it can be delivered. We get orders and then we import them into our couriers shipping software that is provided from them and it generates a delivery time label for each and every address entered and tells us if it's a overnight , 2 day or 3-5 day delivery or undetermined delivery date. Patrick's order was "Overnight Delivery" on the label so it was shipped. When Patrick didn't receive the order he called me and I manually google mapped his location and noticed that he was near Grande Prairie and I was surprised our courier printed the label for next day delivery. I knew grand Prairie is always a 2 day delivery. I seen from the tracking it was sitting in Edmonton so I told them to send it back. Dealing with a multi billion dollar global courier company they kept moving the shipment to him and was delivered on Monday spoiled. Patrick clicked on our terms and conditions to create the order and in the terms and conditions in clause 8 it states that their is no refunds because of the nature of the product. All couriers don't insure perishables, they make you sign a waiver. Once in a blue moon shipments fail. Nothing is perfect and guaranteed.. But close.

    I told Patrick to be patient with me because this is a busy season for seafood. I told him I will see what I can do to help him out. It is up to us to send out a replacement order or partial order out of our pocket and not the courier company. Patrick agreed to our terms and conditions when he did the checkout. You can't order if not. Threatening a company with reviews and bbb is not going to get anyone anywhere. We are not ****** we are just a small seafood company providing a great service. Our terms and conditions is also in 4-5 places on our website to read. A claim will be placed with our courier and this will be as far as it goes. We will not be refunding the product it's self for this customer but will be for the shipping. Being patient and exploring a fair mutual solution is the best way to go. This is 100% not our fault and was willing to help to a certain degree. Our courier label that was printed showed overnight delivery so we shipped it with confidence.

    I want to order from this company as the prices are good, but with mostly 1 star reviews it seems they are not very good at doing their business and should find another company for next day delivery, and if that company fails to deliver next day then THEY should be filing a claim and then reimbursing the customer...

    We are the seafood company ONLY.  We ship our product overnight or two days max directly to our customers front door step. We are NOT the courier company.  When a act of god delays a plane or bad weather is in that area or for some strange reason they loose the shipment we are not at fault.  The lobsters are not free. You buy them and then in turn we buy them from the fishing zones and they are not cheap.  When and if a customer gets nowhere with the courier then the customer shifts the blame to us.  This can happen and it does happen once in a blue moon.  The courier we use are the best we have and has worked very well for us.  Our terms and conditions state all this in clause 8. Keep in mind we are not shipping a book... we are shipping a live lobster and frozen perishables and the logistics has to be perfect.  It's a very tough business to keep 100% of every customer happy as they see fit.  Everyone is different and has different expectations and most times it's not even realistic or can even be done. In some cases we do give refunds. All courier companies force all perishable companies to sign a waiver sense 2009 so we can only claim the shipping so if and when we do refunds it's out of our pocket and not the courier company. Our hardest hurdle is educating our customers on lobster behaviour. If a lobster isn't moving it don't mean it's dead.  With over 8000 plus shipments and a few bad reviews in our eyes we are doing an amazing job.

    I ordered 5 lbs of Crab legs and when they arrived the ice packs were melted. I weighed the crab and it was 3.2 lbs and was all little pieces, not full legs like advertised. I tried calling and their toll free number doesn’t work and the other phone number has a “full mail” message. They don’t respond to emails or ******** messages. I was ripped off by at least $150 from the shortage and there doesn’t seem to be a thing I can do about it :(

    Paul, I personally spoke to you on the phone for almost 20-30 minutes and sent you a refund at 11:30 at night. You seemed like a very nice guy and undestood what running a small business is all about and it's achs and pains in growth.  I remember you clearly. You own Global Pet Foods. We had a great chat. You should respond to this because this makes our business look bad when it's really not.  We do the best we can.  You must of made this review before our conversation.

    Spend big money for crab clusters and the ***** sends me scrap parts of the crab , sure doesnt look like what's advertised!!! and was send in an half-assed box not properly packaged for an perishable item the half Witt!!! Last time I'll ever order from this place !!!

    Worst company to deal with, my $500.00 worth of seafood, was sitting in Calgary for 4 days and arrived in Cranbrook thawed and rotten, they dropped of the seafood @ *******, ***** wouldn’t even bring the seafood in the store, that’s how rotten the seafood was, my daughter opened box, it only had one small domestic freezer pack. I don’t know how come this company has some good reviews, must be friends, I’m out $500.00

    Anyone ordering from this business is as ****** as the one running it. We paid $500 dollars for 2 boxes he canceled the order so our boxes sat in a warehouse for 4 days. Only to have them show up and everything was gone, completely ruined and perished.
    Upon wanting a refund we were denied, told that it isn't his fault and it's just how things go sometimes.
    I would not ever order from this business again. If you cannot guarantee overnight shipping then it would not ever be offered.

    We ordered 10lbs of lobster to be delivered the week of dec 19. We were charged but the lobsters were never received. We have been unable to reach anyone by phone and they have not returned any emails.
