    I had a heat pump installed by JBR contracting at the end of 2023. Since then they have sent technicians 3 times to get this u it working properly. In 2024 the furnace was dripping water all over the floor from the coils inside. A tech came out and added sone gas, possibly Freon.. worked well for the remainder of the summer. Turned on the air conditioning unit and its back to dripping water all over the floor again. I had to email twice with no answer, then finally after 3 phone calls I reached someone. I was informed I needed to pay $200 to have a tech come out. This was nit is still under warranty and I should not need to *** that amount. I asked the person who I spoke to to please escalate this issue to a supervisor or manager. And as suspected no call back. This company should not be in business.

    Date of Transaction: January 11th, 2024. Amount of money paid: $48,025 JBR Contracting installed equipment and promised we would get rebates through the government rebate program called The Canada Net Zero Initiative. They charged triple the price for these items. They charged us: $31,640 for the heat pump $6,497 for the water heater $9,887 for the attic insulation. We are not asking for the money back we want the promised rebates. We were pressured into getting this system installed. They said the rebate would come in ***** weeks. It has been 9 months. We hope to get this sorted out before the year is up as starting January 2025 the loan goes up to 14% interest.We called the company, showed up at the address, filed a police report talked to the finance company they made us take the loan out from (financit) No one will get back to us. I have a folder of all the documentation and paperwork if you need more information.

    I received a phone call in October 2023 from a ********************** wanting to sell me a heat pump. I told them it was too expensive but a few days later a man showed up at my door, stayed for hours and was extremely aggressive in his desire to sell me a heat pump. I eventually gave in due to pressure and a few days later, JBR contracting arrived to install a heat pump and took away my air conditioning unit. I signed paperwork on October 21 for a loan for the price of the heat pump and installation for $24000.I recently discovered that two additional loans have been taken out in my name, without my consent. The three loans together total over $99000. How could one heat pump in a 1000sq ft home cost nearly one hundred thousand dollars?I have tried to contact the loan company (FinanceIT - who bought out originial lenders simplygroup) and they tell me to contact the merchant. I am unable to contact the merchant as I believe them to be a fraudulent company.

    JBR contacted us for Heat Pump sale saying the big save was possible. Full Maintenance guaranteed 24/7.Less than a week after, we had an issue, we couldnt reach nobody. I called the secretary and asked them to bring back my old equipment and remove the Heat Pump. They promised to send a technician to do so. The follow-up didnt help.While Im still wait someone to bring my equipment back, I received a collection agency letter.I need your help to protect my rights or a dispute.

    02/01/24 I am Power of attorney for my Sister. this is for her house. she has been declared incompetent for property. They sold her so called rebates which did not show up and never did any survey. They replaced a 1year old furnace, and 5 year old A/C unit.I am beside myself that people like this take advantage of the elderly.please. let me know if you require any further information.PS.     May 2023 I was contacted by green homes saying that I would get 10000$ toward installing heat pump...they installed leaving holes in walls inside and out..they told me they would come yearly to service...no rebate unless I make more updates...no return on calls for service...what do I do? I have been scammed...JBR Contracting did work...they(greener homes) also lied on my application my income is 2100/ mth and my house is only 1100 square ft..

    I clicked on a promo for a rebate of ******************************************************************************************************************************** a bunch of lies and regretfully I agreed they came and installed heat pump one month later started receiving calls saying the paperwork wasnt done right and if I wanted rebate I had to get a new water heater air exchanger and insulation in attic and my rebate would be $10000 I agreed to that now I am $37000 in debt and no rebate they also said the loan would go to 0 per cent after first year I now know I was a big sucker nothing they told me was honest I see that JBR contracting has lawsuits against them so I am not alone but it still hurts that there are so many dishonest companies out there I was another stupid senior took hook line and sinker

    I was ******* by an energy auditor they said were from ************ the auditors said they were reopening the home winterizing audit I had from a couple years to include me in the new offers offered by ********************************** the auditor said that former auditor ******* wasn't available anymore because he had been fired. **** said without even coming here said I qualified for a brand new heat pump through ************* free of charge because I was a senior. Nov 10 /23 Now Enters JBR, they installed the heat pump two days after I never asked for and was pushed on me they took out my brand new central air a Lennox that I just had installed in May 2023 anyway this all started Nov 10/23 The only thing I was told was I had to pay for my *********** through them for a total of $167 a month THEN I got a contract FROM a *************** ,****** ***** ********* for $27,120 for the heat pump. I lost it they said the stupid HEAT PUMP was FREE. I never signed those finance papers they copied and pasted my name onto that contract. I didnt know it existed. I read the contract and discovered I had the legal right too cancelled this contract within the 10 days a cooling off period Then the war started and I had a fight like h*** to get them to take it out the heat pump out not to mention they put me in a finance company called ****** ***** ********* for $27120 years over course of 180 months and then it would go up again to over ****** In hooking up with the heat pump, JBR contractors installed the heat pump Starting at 8 oclock at night wearing in headlamps disconnected it the same way after dark wearing headlamps again Im not prejudice, but all these people are from ***** All them are from ***** They destroyed my central air punctured the coil in three places lost a valve and a plate That the coil sits on in the furnace now I have to buy a new central air. I hate that company they owe me $5979.

    Company spoke with us over the phone about installing a new furnace and as well as having more insulation put in the attic as well as a heat pump instal and tankless water heater. All assuring us we would get all the rebates to help with the cost. So we had it all installed. We feel they took advantage of us as seniors. Had issues with one of the workers but they addressed that and then we found out that we were not able to get all the rebates only one for the furnace. We are a senior couple and would have never put that extra expense out had we known. When we finally were able to get them to return our calls regarding rebates they said they would send us some money for our trouble they called it. Then came to the financing part. Sadly we did not catch it prior but after looking at our finance papers they have charged us almost 3000.00 over. They put tax on totals then taxed the totals again. When trying to many times contact them they say it’s right. There’s no way it should be that much tax. Even the finance company said we were right. So the communication with this company is terrible. Finally get a call back. They say they had a clitch in the system and it was about 500.00 wrong and would we like that fixed. ?? That was 2 weeks ago and we have seen nothing done. We have asked them to show us the numbers because it is still roughly 3000.00 from what we are getting they should be correcting. They want nothing to do with it. The original guy I spoke with said he would contact us monthly to see how everything was and we have never heard from him nor will he return calls. We don’t want anyone else to get wrapped up with this company. Looking into it some more they have done this to other customers. We did send them a registered letter with our complaint and got no response. If they won’t correct the financing even though they have said they are correcting 500.00 worth we want others to know not to get involved with them.

    I have been ******* by a JBR contractor Inc.; I was told the renewable energy project would pay for itself after we completed the installation of the project. The promises were instead of paying the utility company we could pay for loans and cover all the energy costs.

    Now he got us into a big debt of $87,168.00. We have a few issues with the heat pump and have been trying to contact JBR Contracting Inc. since December 2023, the contractor disappeared and never returned my phone calls nor responded to emails.

    Now I have to pay for my loan and my utility bills (both Hydro and natural gas), and there is no reduction or credit for my bills. I do not have the money to pay for both utilities and loans.

    I need help from a legal aspect of consumer protection. What is my obligation to this situation?
