      ** * ***** **** **** **** *** **** * ****** I was with Desjardin insurance for two homes. Never made a claim. When I finally did I had a company sent by Desjardin give a quote and I paid my 1000 deductible and got a 100 dollar repair. My quote said ceiling tile replacement. I got rough hung drywall. I was told to pay and hire another company on my own to fix what the company Desjardin sent did to my ceiling. I even sent a quote from another contractor that stated my ceiling repair sent by Desjardin was not up to code and there were code violations even with what information Desjardin said they will have company come out to pain the drywall. Regardless of notifying them of code violations. The company quote saying ceiling tile replacement and me getting rough hung drywall Desjardin kept my thousand dollars and told me to fix their mistake myself which cost me over 2 thousand dollars to have ceiling brought up to code. I sent photos of sloppy work and company quote stating different repairs and notice of code violations they refused to have work fixed. Insurance company that charged me three times more monthly any other company stood by the company that messed up my garage job hung me out to dry cost me extra two thousand dollars to repair their company repairs. ***** ** ****

      My Auto insurance was up for renewal and I was able to get a better quote and when I went to cancel I was told I was not getting money returned when I had paid first and last back in 2009 ***** ****** ******. I am going to try to look though my old paperwork to find the proof that I did pay a double payment and also contacting my bank. It is not my fault they do not keep proper records. I managed to get insurance for $80 cheaper. I am most definitely switching my home owners Insurance when it comes up for renewal.

      I am absolutely frustrated with this insurance company's ************ from day one. They completely botched my file, falsely claiming I received my driver's license 5 years earlier than I actually did and incorrectly stating I was insured as a primary driver since age 20 - information I never provided them. The fact that I wasn't required to sign any documentation or receive proper paperwork by mail is not just "unusual" - it's unprofessional and concerning.
      Then, a month after starting my policy, their underwriting department asked for additional documentation - an uncertified driver's history (costing me $12) and an experience letter from my previous insurer. They threatened to increase rates if I didn't comply within 2 weeks. Why weren't these documents requested during the application?
      Despite providing everything requested plus additional information, they claimed my documentation was "insufficient." When I finally decided to escape this nightmare and called to cancel, I was told I'd be charged the ENTIRE remaining policy amount ($2,300) instead of the standard cancellation fee! I spoke with the agent on the phone for half an hour, making sure she actually meant $2300 and yes she was insisting that I would owe them this amount if I was to cancel. Only when I called back a couple hours later did another agent inform me the fee would be $220, dismissing the previous agent as "new" and "unfamiliar with procedures." This level of inconsistency is simply unacceptable. I've canceled but received no confirmation, leaving me uncertain if it processed. I'm waiting until month-end to verify if payments stopped. This experience has been needlessly stressful, but I'm relieved to be done with them. ******** **** ***** ******** * **** ****** **** ******* *********** I have an excellent driving record with no accidents or tickets, this kind of treatment is unjustified and intolerable.

      I have had a sewage line back in my basement. I am fully covered for this under my policy. The backup was due to cracked clay pipes which as a result caused roots to grow through the pipes therefore causing backup.
      They have decided to ignore the policy and not cover any if at all of the damage. It is almost 2 weeks and yet no decision has been made .I have spent almost $15000 in repairs already.They do not communicate with you unless you call them.When i call all they say is we are still investigating. It is clear and evident they do not want to honor my policy. I have been with almost 6 years never filed a claim.I chose to use them even though they are more expensive to get better coverage.       Worst experience i had in my life!
      After my vehicle got hail damaged and they sent someone to check out the damages on the vehicle outside the house not even in a shop with better lighting but instead did a false inspection and missed lot of damages! It took me a month to convince them to take the vehicle to a shop and do a proper assessment till they finally agreed and ended up with a total loss! Then we get to the settlement which took even more time I provided everything in my end and they gave me an offer and i agreed and signed on the bill of sell! they towed the car and insisted on returning the rental which i did before i even get the cheque and pay off the loan! even told them i have a family and work to get to but they put me in a bad spot and had to use my line of credit to buy a used vehicle! After 2 weeks of the settlement i still didn’t get anything until i got a call and told that the settlement been cancelled due to buying a used car! I talked to a manager and she admitted it was their fault but still doesn’t want to give me the amount we agreed on! Then they escalated the situation to the complaint department and they gave me totally different reasons saying the vehicle is not worth the amount we agreed on or it was a human error! And even said that the settlement cannot be changed but yet they still charged the original settlement that we agreed on and signed on! Now I’m forced to sign on different settlement not able to fight for whats my right because im still paying a loan for a car they towed! Gave up after telling me i could complain to the head office but will get a reply after 3 months!!!
      This experience gave me ****** *** financial problems after 3 months of calls and emails!

      Ridiculous!
      Worst customer service I have ever received.
      Have had car insurance with them for 5 years and just added our house 2 years ago.
      They are just reaching out now advising they are not able to see our previous records? Umm we provided all this information 5 years ago. It feels like a **** to increase our rates.
      ********* ******* **** ***** ***** ***** We're switching companies as soon as this nightmare is sorted out.

I explained our premium leakage initiative which a process to make sure that we are offering the premiums based on the risk . Mr. ******* has the opportunity to provide the requested documents which will help us underwrite the risk accurately & provide the best premiums with our company effective Dec,2024 renewal.

      Horrible experience *** ******** ******** ******** 
      Vehicle was damaged, took 2 weeks to pick up the vehicle, then 2 weeks to even make a decision. Total loss - with the absolutely ridiculous premise that we return the rental within 3 days.
      We did not have the cheque in hand - they mailed a cheque in 2024, the representative Graeme ignored my email, dodged my spouses calls when we brought up other legal standings in regards to policies and brought my lawyer into it.
      Graeme waited until we had to return to Vehicle and didn't get back to us at all.
      There was no understanding that it's near impossible to find an equivalent vehicle, pay off remaining balance of old vehicle, and aquire said vehicle with less than 3 days notice.

      i just lost my rear passenger tire it fell off while getting coffee from ********* driveway the agent told since it eas maaintence issue i was not allowed for towing rebrition and access to rental car while my car is out what a way to run a car insurance co

      Was with this business since they took over State Farm... years of being a great client... no claims.. house.. two cars... motorcycle ******* *****.. and RV.... because of raising premiums for no reason... shopped for a better, affordable alternative... and had a small ($40-) owing to them.. which i completely forgot about... they place me in collections for that... they could have called.. anything... since they took money from my bank account for years every month... HORRIBLE customer service... **** ****

      My insurance went up $720 a year and the only explanation they gave was...
      The cost of everything has gone up and everyone got hit with a price increase.
      It used to be ***** **** until 2019. It has gone downhill ever since and I'd been with them for over 20 years.
