This company ** ***** *************** *** *** ***** * ***** Refuses to honour warranty and workmanship, overcharging for sub-standard work, with no customer service to speak of. I was told by the owner when I asked for a repair date on the hardware they installed, that he would tack on emergency services regardless of when he came or make me wait until Tuesday (I'm locked out of my home), after insulting my marriage (yes really) he told me that if I "kept it up" he wouldn't bother. Then he hung up on me. ** **** *********** * **** * *** **** ***** ******** **** **** **** **** ******** *** *****

They came to help with a lockout and my wife asked them about potentially re-keying some doors. We are moving into the house next week, so seemed reasonable at the time.
My wife was a little distracted as we had multiple trades at the house and we were about to move in. Rather than assessing the cost they proceeded to just take things apart and drill out multiple doors.
On top of that, the guy in charge who happens to be super confrontational, tried to tell my wife that it would cost $5500 to replace the front door mechanism. I guess he assumed we are naive. He dropped his quote to $4500 and then $3500 when she questioned him.
Having spoken to another locksmith now, the replacement of the mechanism with labour is about $1500.

** **** ****** ** ** *** ********* **** *** ************** When I arrived I asked them the cost of what they had done so far. The person working for the owner said $600-$800. I said fine, please finish up we are done. We had no trust at that point.
So they finished and proceeded to send me an invoice for $2000. The invoice was itemized and apparently they charge $275-$300 for every small price of work they do while at your home.
I argued with the owner who ‘graciously’ dropped it down $1700.

I recently had an unsettling experience with C & A Locksmith and Doors, a company purportedly owned by Joseph. I needed to replace a deadbolt and a door handle, so I contacted them by calling the number found online, which promptly dispatched the owner to my home address.
Upon arrival, I was informed that the lock being installed was a maximum-security one, with three different levels of security available. The entire process left me feeling intimidated, as if I had no choice but to agree with the exorbitant quote provided. To make matters worse, they refused to provide a warranty document and took away the product boxes, making it impossible to trace the actual value of the items installed, especially the deadbolt.
Shockingly, I was charged a staggering $1000 for an item that I later discovered is commonly priced at $60 through a simple online search. When I inquired about obtaining more keys, Joseph assured me that he could create them at any time. This raised concerns, especially since the deadbolt comes with a card allowing for duplication at any time.
What adds to the unease is the lack of transparency and accountability. When I requested a receipt, I was given conflicting information – the office claimed Joseph could provide one, while Joseph stated the office could issue it. This inconsistency only deepened my distrust.
Feeling taken advantage of, I conducted further research and discovered this company's ********* practices are not isolated incidents. Consequently, I have reported C & A Locksmith and Doors to the relevant authorities.
    In conclusion, * ******** ******* ****** *********** *** ******** ** * * * ********* *** ****** The lack of transparency, exorbitant charges, and questionable practices **** **** ******* * ********** ******. ******** ******** *********** ** ******* ********* ****** serious doubts about the integrity and professionalism of this business. ** ******** *** ******* ************ ********* ********* *********

Came to my house and charged my $180 for a lockout even though I was in my house, was not an emergency situation, and the locksmith knew something was wrong with my lock so he would have received more work and pay once he unlocked the lock. Then the locksmith (named Jon) took my lock away to a shop to work on it and came back with it "fixed". Charged me $650 for the work he did and $350 for the one piece he replaced (total roughly $1400 at this point). System broke within 48 hours, he came back, tried to fix it again, broke again within the week. Then told me I needed an entire new lock and quoted me $3k.
    Called another locksmith ***** * ***** **** **** * ********* ******* *** **** *** **** ********* ** **** ** **** the new piece put into my lock didn't even fit and would have never worked to begin with. **** ******* ** *** ***** **** ****** ******** *** ******* *** *** **** ********

I broke my key inside the lock, and the guy **** to me that there was no way he could get the key out. I simply just used the screwdriver to push the key out from inside after having him open the lock. I end up have to pay the $150 and $75 to open the lock. I decided to reinstall it by myself after seeing how easy it is just by using a screwdriver . ** ******** ***** ******* *** ***** **** Thank you anyway, now i can change door lock by myself.

    WOW
The installer quoted me $500 to repair my patio door. I confirmed the price and he said “Yes”.
45 minutes later, the bill was $1,975.
I questioned this and got the run around.
    I called the company and I was told that this had never happened before. *** * ** ****** *** ** ***** ******** *** ***** *** ****** *** ********* *** ***** ***********

We called a company that stated fast, affordable and local they sent this company to our location. We are a business that weren't able to get into a room in our office. This gentleman that came was nice but for what they actually had to do to open the door for us they were outrageous in there fees. He was here for maybe 5 minutes and charged us $600. We have called and complained to the company that outsources to this group in hopes that someone else doesn't get taken advantage of. We have also checked other sites and there fees are closer to $200 if not lower to get into a room or car. **** **** ***** ***** ***** ****** **** **** ******** ******* **** **** **** **** ** **** **** ******* ** ***** *****

Recently, I needed an emergency repair on our front door lock set (entry + dummy). Unfortunately, I trusted the C and A Locksmith company which I had found online.
I paid a whopping outrageous $9,000 to have the set replaced!!!!
I later discovered that THE MOST EXPENSIVE lock mechanism, the number of which is etched on the side strip (R12921) is CAD $557.
They responded to my call within the hour, which is probably part of their modus operandi.
A nice workman came to diagnose the problem & insisted that the handles (from 35 yr.ago) were ‘custom made’ & “very expensive”. I did not see the ****** price he quoted nor was I allowed to accompany him to the site where the locksmith made the set “on the spot”. He left to get the lock set, but not before taking a 50% deposit on my credit card. I was sent photos and told I had a choice of only 3 sets - all the same price.
Not being able to see beforehand what I was paying $9,000 for hints at something wrong. But it was an emergency and they, of course, knew it!
There was no discussion or suggestion whatsoever of any alternative, and as I tried to think of one, I was pressured for time in making a decision.
According to the information online, this business is not BBB accredited, although the contact I spoke to claimed it was.
    I did not receive a warranty & nowhere on the set - or the bill - is the manufacturer’s name. *** ** **** *** * *****
