  Buyer Beware:
  
  Husband and I purchased a 2019 VW Atlas June 2024. We were very excited to make this purchase as we heard great things about VW. From the very beggining there were plenty of RED flags that we had to continously correct. Here are some of the issues we encountered with this location;
  
  1. AC compressor went and had to be replaced prior to driving the car off the lot. WE noticed it AFTER they indicated they completed their " check".
  
  2. Brought the vehicle in to have the USBC outlets checked, passenger side mirror coming off, our dashboard lit up like a christmas tree with all sorts of indicators that we later had to have OUR trusted mechanic scan and check out.
  
  3. My husband had to fight tooth and nail to have things that were promised to us when we purchased the vehicle, IE; car mats, tires, brakes, etc.
  
  4. Wanted to charge us over $150.00 to just tell us we had to replace items less than 6 months of purchasing the 6 year old SUV.
  
  I will never recommend them. EVER. Customer service is a joke and they will tell you their the " best " to make the sale. Typical sales gimmic.
  
  Do your research. Avoid.

  Last year my boyfriend and I made the trip to Barrie VW to purchase his dream car. He had always wanted a Golf GTI and he finally found the perfect one. After asking all of the right questions and doing everything he could to make an informed purchase, he signed the dotted line and walked out with his 2016 Golf GTI. A few short months later the cars check engine light turned on and we marched down to our local VW dealership. With confidence we dropped it off and expected to pick it up and carry on with our lives. Little did we know, this would start a 8 month long **** ****. The mechanic at our local VW was amazing. He explained what the issue was and what it was going to cost us. We were shocked at the price because we paid $4000+ for warranty and apparently that didn’t matter, we found out that day that our warranty was void because the car had been “tuned/modified”. We were completely shocked as we had never done anything to this car, at this point it hadn’t even been in for an oil change yet. The mechanic explained we would be paying out of pocket for all repairs because of the void warranty, we assured him we had done nothing to the car, to our surprise these types of modifications come with a time stamp right on the cars computer… the time stamp showed the modifications had been done PRIOR to us purchasing the car. We were devastated. All that money right down the drain with a car that the mechanic assured us we’d continue to have problems with due to the modifications and boy was he right. The car has since been in several times for issues that CANNOT even be repaired because of the modifications. He said we should take it up with Volkswagen Canada which we did, they strung us along for months and at the end of it they said, oh this is Barrie Volkswagens problem to reconcile. We have since tried to call with no luck of even getting through and even tried the chat on the website with promises of “we will pass this along to a specialist”…& NOTHING
