1 starThis goes back to last summer when we felt it was time to replace our mattress, as long-time customers of Sleep Country it never occurred to us to check if they were still "Great Quality Mattresses", I chatted on line with a "Sleep Specialist" who advised and knew "exactly" what we needed. She then emailed me more info and spoke on the phone and finally we made our choice based on "her recommendations". The mattresses came and the first night I thought I was lying in a deep puddle, tried this for a couple of times and said "no way" this is killing my back *** ***** ****** ** ** *** ** **** ** ****. I contacted them and said there must have been a mistake as this is not what we expected and were told we would need, I asked what is going on and can I speak to the socalled "Specialist". Turns out that she was conveniently on vacation every time we requested to speak to her, we were just given the run around. Finally, I had enough and demanded different mattresses, we finally did get different once's but these were even worse "and" more expensive and of course we had to pay the associated fees. Tried them out and these were worse so we slept in our ******* chairs to get some rest ** * *** ********** **** ***** *******. I finally contacted the Head Office in Montreal and a "manager" agreed to let us exchange the mattresses one more time. So off we went to Sleep Country to try some out and basically, they all felt terrible, like sleeping on a couple of marshmallows'. Well needless to say we could not sleep on these rocks either, they said we needed the "********** Extra Firm". So we still sleep in our chairs and are hunting for "good mattresses". It has been a very frustrating and expensive experience with Sleep Country, we have spend a lot of money over the years with them but they have gone downhill ** * ********** *** nobody in that place seems to care about anything other then the $$$. ******** ***** **** ***** **************** *** ********* *********Review fromAnne W

I ordered a mattress in a box shipped to me for my new home. They told me it had shipped and would be arriving that day so I ordered 2 more. I received 4 different emails with 4 different tracking numbers. Then I received 4 more emails cancelling them. When the mattress didn't arrive, I called 4 times and got 4 different answers: 1) it has already arrived 2) I will find out and call you back 3) you have to contact the shipper directly and 4) I will order you another mattress with a different shipper and it will arrive tomorrow. All wrong. When the mattress didn't arrive today, I called and was told I had been "misinformed." Then the service rep **** * *** ********* ** *** *** hung up on me. I told the last 3 reps that without a mattress, I either have to go to a hotel or sleep on the floor, so I need a definite date. I have spent the last 2 evenings looking for a hotel after 5:00. I have emailed requesting my money back.Sleep Country Canada

My delivery was supposed to be April 7, delivery team called me early morning saying i had a $200 remainder on my account and it needs to be paid. They only dropped it because i said no, i have all my receipts everything is paid for and NO ONE has even contacted me to reschedule because they wanted to shorten their day and not deliver. I spent the entire afternoon calling customer service, 5 different representatives, 3 different sales associates, countless emails. Not one single reply. ***** *****

Hi *****,
Hope you are well. We are sorry to hear about your warranty claim concerns. There are two methods we offer to open a warranty claim. The first being an online claim which if a customer doesn't have an email can ask a family member or relative to assist with the claim. This option is free of charge. The second option is to have a technician sent out to the residence. The in home inspection is conducted by a third party and there is a service charge for inspection. This service is not covered under warranty. If your ******* aren't able to do the online claim, hopefully a family member can assist with the online claims process which is free of charge.Review fromV. B.

Purchased a $300 mattress protector that was advertised as 100% waterproof but unfortunately it failed and sweat penetrated through and ruined our expensive mattress. They denied the claim because sweat is not covered. Have to pay out of pocket 100s of dollars to get it professionally cleaned. **** * ***** Will never buy from Sleep Country again.Sleep Country Canada

I’ve already reached out to customer service. The individual that I was in contact with is named *******. She denied the claim for professional mattress cleaning and like I said I have to pay $400 to have it professionally cleaned locally. She confirmed that the top of the line ****** mattress protector is waterproof and I responded with the literal definition of waterproof which is: impermeable to fluid. This is an example of FALSE advertising, poor customer service and retention.Review fromHeather B

Purchased a ***** **** mattress for my young child one year ago. I had intended to get a cheaper one from the ***** line but I was talked into getting the **** by the sales person. I was told that it had a 10 year warranty (and it is a great warranty) and I wasn't even offered an extended warranty at time of purchase, yet it says declined on my receipt. This week while lifting the mattress up to change the sheets and clean the mattress protector like we do regularly, we noticed black mold starting to grow on the mattress. We contacted customer service right away, gave them all the required information and pictures just to be told that it is considered environmental and the warranty does not cover it. I did not spend $800 on a mattress that is nearly brand new to have to throw it out a year later. The mattress is advertised as antimicrobial, clearly this is false advertising or the mattress is defective. We live in a clean home, with proper ventilation. The mattress is on a bed frame with slats, it has continuous ventilation, a mattress protector, zero stains, the linens are laundered every week and the mattress is rotated regularly. This makes zero sense, this has not happened to any other mattress we have owned. After complaining a second time we were offered 50% off another mattress with this company, for what? It just to happen again potentially and I would be out even more money? No. If the mattress was older I would consider but the mattress is nearly new and barely slept on. This is so unsafe for anyone, especially a child and I was encouraged to purchase this by one of sleep country's employees. We have spent thousands at Sleep Country but after this experience I would not purchase from them or recommend them to anyone I know.Sleep Country Canada

Hi *******,
Hope you are well. We are sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with your mattress. Unfortunately molding issues is not covered by the manufacturer warranty. Sleep Country is the retailer but the warranty is provided by the manufacturer. Molding issues are related to the environment factors. We can offer a discount voucher towards a new purchase but unfortunately it can't be replaced under warranty. If you wish to accept a discount voucher, please contact our customer service team at ###-###-####.

Bought a pillow from sleep country put my head on a sample one felt okay so I bought it. Tried it out when I went to sleep on it found it very uncomfortable. Can't return it only place I ever heard of that won't refund my money. You better make sure you like your pillow before you buy.Sleep Country Canada

Hi *******,
Hope you are well. We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with your pillow. We can only accept return of items that are in original packaging and unused within 30 days of purchase. New products can take some time to soften up a little since the sample pillows in store are used and may have a different feel. I would suggest using it for a few weeks to soften it up if you find the pillow to be too firm. If you need further assistance please contact our customer service line at **************.

I finally received my refund eleven days after my return was received. When contacted, SleepCountry’s main customer service advised that all refunds take 10 to 15 business days to process, standard company policy. Not for this customer, thanks. I will shop elsewhere.
