    ***** ** ******** *. I went to them because they were one of 3 who serve my remote northern community and were the cheapest of the 3, by $20/month. I suspect defective modem after 3 frustrating hrs on my cell phone trying 2 get the new equipment 2 work. They blamed the cable providers slow internet speed/defective co-ax, but I was currently using their pricier equipment with no issues. I was looking 4 ways 2 cut my low income expenses with rising inflation. It has taken me a month 2 get a semi peaceful resolution. They did not send me return labels 4 the defective modem and/or router and charged me the $25 restocking fee 4 THEIR defective modem.

    Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Became a VMedia client on Dec 7, 2022
    Since then have had no internet connection, starting next day:
    Dec 8 - From 1pm-7pm. Their tech support said they can see disconnection but unable to help (how is that ?), advised to just wait.
    Dec 9 - from 1pm- morning Dec 10. Went through troubleshooting with their tech support, no positive result. Reconnected by itself, I guess.
    Dec 11 - Dec 14 Internet crushed, no help from their tech support, they just kept saying "restart modem/system".
    Officially informed their customer care department on Dec 16 that I quit. Nevertheless, on Jan 1, 2023 they tried to charge my credit card. Good thing I had cancelled my credit card expecting/suspecting such * ***** from Vmedia. ****** * **** * ***** **** * ** ***** ** ******** *****

    We signed up for vmedia 250megabit cable internet and selected the option to let them automatically cancel the Shaw internet service which we were currently using. First of all, **** **** ** ** ** saying that there was only a five day cancellation notice required and charged us what they said was the cancellation fee of 20 bucks. As it turns out, Shaw is now trying to charge us another cancellation fee on top of it of $127!!! ** ***** ******* *** ****** ***** This is a trick so you don't call Shaw to find out what the cancellation fee really is. But THEN on top of this major showstopper problem, the modem didn't arrive when they said it would. So the day before our service was about to get cut off, we called to check when the modem would really arrive since it was still in Hamilton according to the ********* tracking number and we live in Vancouver. The customer service agent couldn't even speak English *** **** ** ** ***** *** then put us on PERMANENT HOLD. We found out after the modem arrived that what she was doing when she never came back on the line was CUTTING OUR INTERNET SPEED to Zero point two five megabit, yes that's less than a megabit of speed we have right now after activating the line *** *** ******** ******* ************** **** **** ** ** ***** **! Feeding us some runaround story about tomorrow being somehow a better day to call customer support. He is covering for his ***** ******** coworker *** ***** ** ** *** *****. They admitted that they are a ************ call centre in India and don't know anything about the company or its services. * ****** ***** **** *** ********* **** ****** ***** **** * **** **** ** ********* ******** ******* ** ********* **** **** ******** *** ******** *** ***** ** *** ***** ** ******** **** ***** **** **** ** *** **** *** ** *** ********

    ****** *** ******* * **** *********** * ***** ** ****. The modem never worked. They were minutes taking my money out the account plus $20 activation. Now I'm canceling because they are unable to make it work and all I "may" receive is $30 because they are ** ****** *** money hungry who knows..they want $25 restock for equipment it's ridiculous. *** * ****** **** ********* **** **** ****** ** ******** ******* ***** ****** *** ********

I checked your account and as far as I can see we did not charge you any fee or penalty, in fact, we refund you all the money that you paid us when you canceled.     This has been a horrible experience for our family. No one can call us after two weeks without phone service. My mother is 94 years old and we need our land line. I can’t pay my bills without extreme difficulty because codes are required for everything. We had to buy two more VMedia devices and they still do not work properly. Our household security system is out of order. I can’t even watch the normal news programs without purchasing extra.     Thank you for your review, very sorry for the inconvenience cost and also for the delayed response, As far as the delayed reply BBB has had some issues sending notices to us, and also they have had huge delays posting reviews for months, I am hoping that they sort it out soon. Upon checking your account it makes me sad to know that you already canceled the service and move to ****. We regret that we lost you as a customer and wish you can give us another chance to prove to you that our service is more enjoyable than what you had experienced, and because this situation is highly unusual to our service. To be fair I can see that tech support tried their very best to help you. Wishing you good luck with your new provider

    Poor customer service, poor communication!!! We called to set up our service a week ago, and got confirmation our installation day was this morning... no-one showed up. My husband works from home and will now be out a couple days work due to VMEDIA I called multiple times to confirm the service tech was coming, left voicemails etc, nothing!!! Contacted the online chat, and the customer service was not helpful. My request to speak to a manager was ignored. I kept asking to speak to a manager and was told there was no manager on the chat, and no manager phone number available. I asked how can I cancel the service, again they direct me to the 1-844 phone number (no one answers, you have to leave a voicemail) They promised a technician would come this morning, and now we're informed they will not be coming in person. The modem is still in Ontario (we live in Manitoba) and we now have to wait for it to arrive, and then they will connect us remotely. Quite honestly I don't believe any of it. We want to cancel our service and get our refund A whole lot of false information

    I am a little surprised by the reviews below as my recent experience has been quite positive. I had to install DSL as I couldn't get Cable installed due to construction. Their pricing was better than most and arranging install was easy. Unfortunately a **** installer was dispatched and he had zero experience with DSL (technically not their fault). It took 4 hours to install the DSL. I deducted 1 star as on occasion the internet goes down for about a minute then back up. I find their customer service very attentive and their tek support very patient and knowledgeable. The only thing I had issues with is that the installer does not set up the modem but it's only done once so I dealt with it. Overall a good experience so far.
