we paid this company 452.00 in Sept of 2022 to come to our home and do a home assessment report for us so we could apply for a grant from the governments greener home initiative. We never received the promised report and their phone and emails have been cancelled. My husband missed 4 hours of work on a Sunday so he could be here for the assessment - double time because it was a Sunday - the "gentleman" showed up a couple hours late!. We tried to contact them many times and received no response. * ***** *** **** **** **** *** **** *** **** **** **** **** ** ** **** ******* *** * ****** **** ** ***** **** ******* ******* *** The reason for the whole program is to try to make it more affordable for people to pay their bills. This has been very upsetting for us.

We signed up for the GreenSaver program in June 2022. On June 2nd 2022 we paid them $452.00. Which we were told would be refunded upon completion. We'll our upgrades are completed and we have no way to reach them. Phone numbers are no longer in service and emails are return as undeliverable. So frustrating. Not sure what we can do to get our money back. Any advice would be appreciated.
      Thank you

I researched Canadian grants that were available for home energy updates. I paid over $600 for Greensaver to do an assessment, provide a full and detailed written report on the energy efficiency of my home, & then revisit after the work is complete to confirm qualification and at a minimum refund the assessment fees etc. The assessment was done on October 5, 2022. I was told at that time that I could move forward with the intended replacement of windows & doors, insulation etc. The windows were installed in December, 2022. I sent an email to Greensaver to to advise that I had not yet received my detailed written report and would like to arrange a site visit to confirm window compliance and get the monies owed to me. To date I have not heard anything back. I tried calling them and the number is no longer in service. If I could afford to give away money, I'd have chosen a charitable organization! I will be complaining to the Ministry who supported this company.

I reached out to Greensaver for a home energy audit. I agreed to charge to my credit card and had an audit booked. This audit and a reschedule audit was cancelled by Greensaver. Second cancellation was done by email via email 24hrs prior to visit and with a note that someone would contact me to reschedule the following week. 2.5 weeks later no one has reached out. I responded to email after one week, there has been no response to the reply. I have also called their contact number on several occasions across a one week period. Each time the call went to voicemail with the same voicemail message "No one is available to take the call. Leave a message and someone will respond by end of next business day". After one week of messages, nobody has called back.

We decided is time to change windows. We applied for Canada Greener Home grant.
We selected Greensaver one of the companies authorized by Ministry of Natural Resources for home inspections. Huge mistake!
We waited a few weeks for pre-evaluation inspection and then after several phone calls to the company over 1.5 months for pre-evaluation inspection report to be uploaded to the portal. Not to mention time spent on the phone to get somebody competent.
After we done our retrofit, again we had to wait for inspector to do it post- evaluation inspection and waited two weeks for inspector to sent us a report. After we received post evaluation report, we didn’t see it on our portal. I called the company, and the person answered my phone told me that “report is already uploaded and the reason I don’t see it is that Ministry has to look it.” I DON’T LIKE WHEN SOMEBODY IS TAKING ME FOR A FOOL *** *** ** **. COMPLETELY OUT OF RESPECT!
Greensaver’s inspectors have two weeks to prepare report and company itself got 30 days to upload relevant documentation. Strange that some companies can do it very fast, within couple weeks only.
My friend picked for the same grant different company and waited only one week for report to be uploaded. SAVINGS OF A MINIMUM 3 MONTHS TIME!
Now imagine is you wait also for a loan; you might not be able to fit within time frame for approval (before you start retrofit) or if you are short of money paid interest on your card until Greensaver provide all reports to your portal.
Do research before: ask how long you will wait for inspector and what is company time frame to complete all documentation.
Home inspections for the grant is only a small part for Greensaver. They do not care about customers.
I had a question to inspector about report and I asked him through email. PROFESSIONAL never bother to reply.
I will complain in writing to company partners, Ministry of Natural Resources, BBB , ********* and other associations relevant to this grant.
