      As part of the Government of Canada's Greener Homes Grant initiative, we engaged Greensaver to perform a pre-retrofit energy audit on our home on 16JUN2021, and paid a fee of $452.00. In the intervening time we have had some of the recommended upgrades/retrofits that were recommended completed. On 08MAY2023, we attempted to contact Greensaver for our post-retrofit energy audit and discovered that Greensaver is no longer operating as a business. At this point we are unable to complete our post-retrofit audit and apply for any of the Greener Homes Grants that we would be eligible for. We would like assistance in recovering our initial fee paid to Greensaver.

      As many others have reported, I paid for an energy audit for government grant program and did not receive the services. Payment was late September 2022 and audit was to be carried out late October 2022; the auditor did not show at the scheduled time and later that day I received an automated email from the company sighting "operational shortcomings" with the intention to contact me to reschedule.
      Despite patience and multiple attempts to contact the company I was unsuccessful at rescheduling and subsequently reported to NRCAN who opened a file and suggested I report as ********* ***** and await further direction. I finally received further direction in late March 2023, which included guidance to report to my credit card company and contact the legal company responsible for the insolvency of GreenSaver. When I spoke with my credit card company I was informed that unfortunately, as the transaction was greater than 90 days in the past I am not able to receive a refund through my credit card company.
      At this time I have received not further communication or reimbursement from Green Saver or the government agency who had identified Green Saver as an supplier of the service required for the grant application and I am out the money paid for the service never received.

      Hired Greensaver as part of the Government grant program. Paid $452 for the pre evaluation. After numerous cancellations they finally did show up and completed the evaluation. I contacted them just recently as my heat pump installation is nearly complete and their emails bounce and website is not responding. I have never received my pre evaluation report and direction on next steps.

      This company sent a person out to conduct an assessment for the government rebate program. Assessment was completed but not uploaded to the site as promised.
      We paid the company and they did not follow through.
      all attempts to contact them failed as they are no longer answering calls or emails.

      I contacted this business to complete my Greener Homes Grant. This business was listed as an Energy Home Auditor. I first connected with them August 21/22. On September 13/22, I was told in order to process and plan the initial assessment, I would need to pay upfront. I paid $452 via credit card. As per email, "2022-09-13 2:40:10 PM, Order Number: ***************" confirmation. Our first appointment was scheduled for October 26/22. I was told it was mandatory that I be home. I booked off work to be present. They cancelled via email on October 25/22 and advised they would call to rebook. This was the last I heard of them. I tried calling to reschedule on November 7 and 17/22. I would get a message that I will get a call within a business day. I last attempted contact January 27/23, to no avail where the line is no longer available. I have also tried emailing January 27/23 with undeliverable emails. I am out of options to try. I am hoping you can help with this matter. I am hoping for the very least a refund, as I don't trust them to finish the assessment at this point.

      Here is the precise chronology regarding our dealings with Greensaver:

      Our 1st **** payment of $452 was e-transferred to Greensaver on Dec 10, 2021.

      *** Brian C. *** conducted the pre inspection on Jan 7, 2022.
      The pre-inspection report was received from Brian C. on Feb 3, 2022.

      Based on this pre-inspection, the replacement windows/doors that were the most in need to be replaced were ordered in the amount of $18,711.46 on May 11, 2022.

      Also, based on the pre-inspection report, the additional insulation suggested was blown into our attic on May 19, 2022, and cost us $2,052.08.

      The 2nd **** payment of $226 to Greensaver on Sep 20, 2022.

      *** Inspector Tunde E. *** conducted the post-renovation inspection on October 13, 2022.

      Emails to Tunde and Greensaver asking where the post-renovation evaluation report was sent on Nov 16, 2022.

      Additional emails, texts, telephone calls, were sent to Tunde and Greensaver, as well as a ******** message to the Greensaver CEO, were sent on December 8th, 2022.

      Since I have received absolutely NO communication from Tunde, Greensaver, or the CEO of Greensaver, I called the Federal Govt's help line on December 8th, 2022, to see what is happening with Greensaver.

      The Federal Government has tried to contact Greensaver and Tunde E. on numerous occasions, but have not been successful. I still have NOT received the post-renovation evaluation/audit report as a result of any of my attempts to contact them.

      Since we intend to list this property for sale on or before March 1st, 2023, having this settled in a timely manner, so we can get our rebate/ reimbursement from the Greener Homes Program is very important to us.

      Time is running out and we feel like we are being held hostage by incompetence.

      On Aug 11 th, 2022 I paid Greensaver 452.00 to have an energy assessment completed in order to get a government grant of up to 5000$ to replace the windows on my home.

      It took forever to get the first appointment booked, it was scheduled for Oct 12, 2022. That appointment was canceled and rescheduled for Oct 26, 2022 which was also canceled. On Oct 25 I received this email:

      "Hello ***** *****
      Due to some operational shortcomings we are unable to meet the scheduled date of your assessment booked 10/26/2022 1:30:00 PM with our advisor Dan S.
      We will be reaching out to you next week to rebook your assessment.
      We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
      Kind Regards,
      The Greensaver Team"

      I never heard from Greensaver after that. I sent emails and after several attempts to call, the phone number is now disconnected.

      If I had the money to waste I would not have been trying to get a grant to replace my windows, I would have been able to pay for them. I would like a full refund for the fee I paid (452$).

      Paid $452 for pre-retrofit evaluation of our home ( 1st inspection). The company canceled the service day before and never rescheduled. Emailed and tried to call the company many times no respond/ phone disconected. Please advise on how to obtain a full refund, as we already hired and completed all required inspections from other company.

      We paid $452 to Service Organization: GreenSaver for an evaluation so we could install a heat pump. (Your energy audit is for 10/6/2022 9:00:00 AM with our Registered Energy Advisor ******** ****** at ***** **** **.)
      He came and did the evaluation. He said he would get back to us in four weeks from the date the evaluation was done, (A full and detailed written report on the energy efficiency of the home that will provide a better idea of how much energy savings each upgrade will achieve will be provided within 2-3 weeks of the evaluation)
      It is now Jan.05/23.
      We have heard nothing!
      We have tried calling ( the line has bee disconnected)
      We have tried e-mail - undeliverable
      We have installed a heat pump.
      We need the evaluation to continue with the process of getting our grant.

      I paid $452 for this company to perform a home energy audit and they cancelled my appointment a few days prior with no details and said they would follow up. They did not. I tried calling and left messages but received no call back. Then after a couple months, tried calling again and their number was disconnected. ***** ********* *** ********* ******** **** *** **** *** ** ******** *** *** *** **** **** **** ******** 

      The main issue: I paid $452 for an audit, they cancelled, went out of business, and never refunded me.
