      My recent experience with Sunwing Airlines was an utter disaster. They provided incorrect information regarding visa requirements, leading to my family's denial of entry into Mexico.       First and only time ever using them. Went to Mexico this past week. no staffing at the airport causing both departures to and from mexico to be delayed. Sunwing reps for the excursions give false information and would not directly answer questions we had. Do not recommend.

      They have false advertisement.
      They said you get a free checked in bag when you select the seat.
      They charged us again and when I called the customer service, the individual told me “you’re not understanding me, this is not a valid complaint!” I asked to be transferred to a manager as I have a clear print screen picture of the offering stating that the bag is included and that it’s already included in the vacation package. This is clear.
      He was ********* ****, saying he not transferring me. I had to hang up because the guy was shouting at me.

      Dea Sunwing,
      The behaviour of your customer service representative was completely out of line- disrespectful. It is not the first time I have experienced bad service from a Sunwing representative, so I disagree with you.
      Regarding the false advertising claim on your website- I have not had one person out of 20 people I've shown the advertising you have that does not agree that you get a 29" seat pitch, that you will not be in Elite Plus seats in a row up to 10, you get one free checked bag (which one is already included in the vacation packages), and one free personal item. It's very clear. 
      That is why *** ******* *** I bought Preferred Seats- otherwise, we would not have "upgraded." 
      This is false advertising; **** ****** ** *** ****** **** *** **** **** But we're just clients, forced to do and pay what the airlines say, or you risk ruining your holidays and not being allowed to fly—these are ******** tactics.  
      Of course, I will not be flying with Sunwing again.

      Myself and my family went to the Dominican Republic and we booked a dolphin Explorer Excursion the woman who gave us the Excursion was from Sunway but we never went to the Dolphin explorer we went to the Ocean Park Excursion instead they charged us an additional $800 plus they wanted another $260 for the pictures that we didn't get to take **** ** *** ******* *** *** ** *** ******* *** ** ****** ** ************ I want my money back I don't know how to get it. I will never fly with someone again

      We were told on the bus and in an email to meet our rep at 10am in the hotel lobby in Havana. Nearly 2 hours to be told they don't come to ******** ******* Hotel.
      AC didn't work well, but there was hot water, so we didn't ask for a different room.
      It was a little further from Old Havana, but can't expect them to move the hotel.
      Varadero wasn't our scene, but we had fun anyway.
      We booked the sunset cruise in Varadero, which included shopping . . . . where all the stores were closed. Hard to shop like that.
      An entire bus load of us waited where we were dropped off, after 20ish minutes, 6 people walked back to their hotel, 2 got in a taxi, and the rest of us were standing there, a nice security guard and I (I don't speak any Spanish) managed to get a call into the office, and an emergence pickup was setup. We were abandoned by ******/Sunwings at a ****** in Varadero.
      The bus just dropped people off at the hotel, cans still rolling around the aisle, but they managed to get us back to the hotel.
      So the day before we went to leave, we checked in with our Sunwing rep at ******** ****** ******* and I was told twice, 4 hours before our flight . . Our flight is at 10:55 so at 6:55 the bus would be there,.... that's even before breakfast. At 7:15 a different couple told us they were told 7:30 . . . ** *** *** * ***** ** ***** ** ** **** *** ****** * **** ******* * ***** **** **** ** ******** **** * ** ********* * **** ***** *** **** ****** *** ** ** **** **** *** ** ** *** *** ***** ** *********** * **** * *** ** ****** ** ** ***** ** ******* ** ******** *** **** ** *** ******** ** ******** *** * ***** ** *** *************?
      Needing a vacation to relax, and ended up with more stress than we went with.
      Submitted a complaint via the website, been 2 weeks, and nothing.
      Submitted a complaint via ******** and was told to do it on the website.
      This is not okay, this is not acceptable, Sunwing needs to take responsibility and make this right!!!

      We held confirmed bookings on Flight ** *** on December 30th with paid seats for all members of our family, total 4 seats. During checking we've been confirmed that all members of our family will get a seat because they are blocked for us in the system. When we were on the plane one woman demanded that my 2 years old son released his seat to her because she has a boarding path assigned to that seat. We explained her that we bought all our seats upfront and she has to deal with the flight attendant and figure it out why that seat was double sold to her. But flight attendants, security guys started pushing on us to give up the seat to her. They didn't care that we paid for the seat. They were *********** me and my ******** **** that we will be taken off the plane and taken to the security. ** ******** **** *** ****** *** ******** *** *** ****** ** **** ** *** **** *** ***** ** ***** ** ***** **** ******** At some point flight attendants started telling us that we must make a choice and deal with this situation with the Sunwing representative when we get home. We had to give up under that pressure and gave our seat to that woman. After arriving home we demanded a compensation for this Involuntary denied boarding incident and all inconvenience that we had during our flight by submitting a post-travel complaint. Sunwing completely ignored this complaint and did nothing.

The compensation is applicable when a passenger is denied boarding involuntarily. Since you were accommodated on the flight and not denied boarding, the compensation outlined by Canadian Air Passenger Protection Regulations does not apply in this instance. If in the event, you paid for seat selection - assignment for a specific seat number, and you did not receive, please continue to communicate with the Post Travel agent to request a refund of the fees paid.

      We paid a premium to get tickets that would be suitable for kids schedule so 930am to get to cancun in the afternoon and they simply delayed our flight by a ******* 12 hours making our experience a total nightmare with kids flying in the night and getting there at 3am ***** ** ******* ******* *** ******** ** *** ** ***** ******** ** **** *** ****** *** *** *** ***** **** *** ** ******* **** the first day was essentially lost so instead of having 7 days we had 6 and sunwing refuses to compensate for anything...* ***** ******* **** *

      I booked with Sunwing Vacations recently *** ** **** *** * *** *** * ***** *** ***. The package price was around $2394 per adult (for double occupancy). After I entered all the info, I got the summary price to be as follows:
      -2 Adults: $2394 X 2 = $4788.00
      -1 Child (8): $294 X 1 = $294.00
      Taxes and fees $1530.00
      Total $6612.00
      I was so excited that I paid that. Then, I called Sunwing customer support to understand the numbers. During the first call, *** ************** *** ** ***** I asked her to escalate my call 3 times to a manager. She refused to do so!! During the second call, the representative told me that taxes and fees are $510 per person (totalling $1530). And, she told me that my understanding that taxes and fees are included on the package price is wrong. Which is not the case. The package prices that you see on the Sunwing website all have taxes and fees included in the price. The third call was today. The representative told me that base package price of $2395 has changed during my transaction to $2395 +$510 (taxes and fees) = $2905. Which is not the case. Until now, the package price has been around $2400 per adult. Sunwing has jacked the prices up for every adult because we added a kid. And, they never explained that to me.
      The explanations that Sunwing representatives have given me about the price breakdown were not correct. And, this is what led me to cancel the whole transaction.
      Sunwing representatives have ****** ** ** giving me wrong explanations!! They gave me the wrong info which forced me to cancel. And because of that, I lost money.

      I do not think you addressed my points. First, you did not address the issue of your customer support staffs. One *** **** *** did not allow me to talk to a manager. Actually, all of them did not allow me to talk to a manager!! The other staff did not know that your package prices on the website DO INCLUDE taxes and fees!! And the third one kept saying that the package prices have changed between the search page and the payment page which was not true.
      The second issue is about how your numbers are displayed on the last page before the payment. which you did not address as well!! That issue is as follows. I will try to be as simple as possible in my description maybe you can follow me this time. Whenever there is a child added to the package, you add more taxes to the original adult package prices. And you failed to explain in your price summary at the end. Again, a package of $2400 (INCLUDING TAXES AND FEES) for each person for double occupancy will become $2910 per adult at the end because of taxes and fees that you added for each adult. And you claim that we will be paying only $294 +$510 taxes and fees for a child which is very misleading. We are paying for adding the child $294 +$1530 (taxes and fees) which is $1824. This is the main issue that you are not displaying exactly how much we are paying for each adult and for the kid.

      *** ***** ********* On December 9th, my family, ********* ** *********** *** *** ********** ********* took a trip with SunWing Airlines. We had booked a comprehensive package covering flights, transportation, and a 7-night stay at an all-inclusive hotel.
      The issue arose on the last day of our trip during the check-in for our return flight. Our seats, initially assigned to row 13, were unexpectedly reassigned to row 28 without any prior notice or explanation. Despite our efforts to resolve the matter with a supervisor, America P. it was revealed that someone had paid for our seats, resulting in our displacement. What right do SunWing have to sell our seats? I argued with America that I wanted to buy my seats back or I should get compensation for selling my seats.*** ********* ********* ******* **** an agent, Marco Antonio, ******** ripped our boarding passes. After * *** **** ** *********** *** ********* ***** ***** ****** ******* **** ********* our boarding passes were reprinted. ** *** ****** upon reaching the airport security checkpoint, we were surrounded by police who informed us that we would not be allowed on the plane.*** ****** ***** ** ***** ****** ******* *** **** ******* *** ********** *** ******* * **** *** ******* ** ** ***** *** ****** ** ******
      Upon seeking clarification from SunWing agents, America and Marco refused to engage with us. ******* ******* ***** ******* ** ** ****** * ****** ****** ** ** ************* ******* *********** ** ******* *** ****** *** **** ********** ********* ************* ******** *** ******* ** ********** ******** ** ****** *** ************ **** *** **** ******* ** ******* ******** * *** **** ** ****** ***** *********** ** ** * ********* ********** ** ****** ** **** ********!In the end, we were forced to rebook our flights by ourselves for the following day, spending a night in uncertainty *** ****.

      I've submitted a ticket, but your proposed resolution is only ******** **** ********** ******** Offering me $350 CAD to silence my voice is unacceptable; money cannot silence **** ******.       ******** ******* **** ** * ******** ** ***** ** ******* get around to booking a 7 day trip to cancun only to have Sunwing delay our flight 24hrs before the vacation unfortunately we ended up stuck at Airport for 12 hrs. We lost 1 day on the trip out $350 for night at resort in cancun and sunwing gives us 2 -$20 food vouchers to make up for the delay. **** * *****  This will be the last time I book a vacation with this **** ****** ** ** airline!!!!
