      * ** ******* ********* ** *** *** ******************** ******* *** I bought a vacation for a week in Cuba but prior to my departure I was taken to emergency room in my local hospital in Toronto. I couldn't give notice to the travel agency and try to cancel my trip because I had no access to my phone. I still had hopes I would be discharged before my trip but in vain. After coming home I tried to at least be compensated for the loss of 975 CAD but the travel agent told me over the phone I had no chance as a big law firm is taking care of Sellofvacations.com. Ridiculous! It is my human right to be compensated as I was not able go on my vacation due to force major circumstances. I will pursue my rights in a small claims court.

      SellOffVacations regrets  the circumstances of your your missed vacations.


      Unfortunately, the travel protection which would provide compensation if cancellation or change was needed, was not purchased at the time of the booking. 


      As was clarified on the calls to our agents, requests for cancellation or change to a holiday package with a departure date of the following day, results in penalties of full loss being levied by ******* *********, the holiday supplier.


      A customer service claim was submitted on 20 February requesting to be rebooked without paying again. Once a passenger is a no show,  funds paid for the holiday package cannot be transferred to a new booking.


      Regretfully, SellOffVacations is not able to amend the supplier's terms of sale, however , if you have and can submit a  medical certification by your attending physician, of the hospitalization, we can request a review by the reservation by ******* *********.


      Please be aware, the request does not provide a guarantee of a positive response. I Send in your paperwork and we will try on your behalf.

      SellOffVacations are not verifying the properties they promote. Take a CLOSE look at the **** ***** *** in Tulum, Mexico. It should not be included in anyone's recommendations. Current advertising for this property includes "luxury garden view" - it wasn't. "International cuisine" dining - it wasn't and 95% of it was inedible. "Entertainment" - there wasn't any at all. Apparently it had 2 restaurants. Never found the second one after a week of looking. Shredded, frayed towels, "luxury garden view" of a dump area full of equipment, bottles, cardboard... We have travelled to 33 countries in 40 years and travel with a sense of humor and an open mind. BOTH disappeared after the experience at **** ***** *** resort. We have no problem with SellOffVacations - but we have a big problem with them promoting a property like this.

      We have determined that when we went is a moot point. You were advertising this property then (Sep.2024) and you are still advertising it now - January 6/25. Neither you, ******* or ******* are doing any kind of check of the properties you promote. It's unacceptable. I will continue to report this property and those who promote it to any oversight body available.

      Always have a great experience when we call sell off vacations to book our travel. We prefer speaking to a live human rather than online booking. This particular one was worth writing a review! We booked with Anna Juanly and she was amazing! Super friendly, efficient and fun.

      Sell of Vacations needs to get their prices correct. Screen one shows the lowest prices (taxes and airport fees extra) accept the price you then go to the next screen it gives more information then accept that and the final screen is a totally different price which is much higher ……why? * **** ** *************

      Sell-Off-Vacations customer service was poor. We booked cruise and air fare through them for Aug 17 to Aug 26. We arranged trip with one day before cruise and one day after to allow for delay/cancellations. **** *** cancelled our flight at 10:30 PM with no notice. We missed our cruise and now I am having problems getting any compensation from **** *** or even getting any reply from agent. Meaning I am out 5000.00 please help

      They let you book a trip online, then charge you the total amouth for it and cancel it without any advise??
      Then when you try to resolve the issue and try to get your money back, they'll seem like they care about doing something for 2 days and ignore you for a week when they realise they made a mistake and have to give you your money back for real...
      ***** ******** NEVER will I book with them again!

      We regret the displeasure the claimant is experiencing, however all evidence on file indicates the booking was cancelled by the passenger and not the travel supplier or the retail travel agency, has been provided for their record.
      As no travel protection was purchased, the booking was subject to the cancellation penalties terms and conditions agreed to at the time of the online booking and therefore no full compensation can be provided.
      Sunwing Vacations is currently reviewing the file once again to determine if any portion can be refunded based on the date of the cancellation. Nevertheless, the claimant can be assured the cancellation was initiated solely by the traveller.
      WE trust this clarifies our position on this matter.

      This company was provided proof of me not visiting their website before a specific time, with screenshots at every click.
      Two employees giving me different information and one stating pretty clearly that selloffvacation cancelled my travel not me (verified with the supplier of course). The other employee told me I would have had to pay 250$ only for cancellation the same day. Yet they're looking at giving me "maybe" 50% back?
      I have a proof showing I could not have visited their website at the time they said I cancelled the reservation. Plus an expert in the informatic department even provided me more so I can prove their "proof" is handmade. Otherwise, why take 1 whole month to give it to me? Of course, you tried to find a way to make me stop my claim...
      Not sure how an handmade fake proof **** **** ** * ***** *** *******. ***** *** ***** I will see you soon in court.
      Start by giving the right traveling agent number when you let people book with you, then maybe you'll have more credibility...

      Booking with a travel agent through selloffvacations was the worst decision we could have made.
      ** ******* *** * **** ***** ** *** ********** *** wanted to book through a travel agent for peace of mind. I can tell you that’s the exact opposite of what we received.
      Our travel agent was unresponsive to emails and calls, even when trying to pay. It took us 3 weeks to get ahold of our agent for payment alone. She also combined our reservation with another party who booked through her, which was a large privacy concern for us. When this was brought to the attention of the company that we had the names/information of this party, and vice versa, they said they did nothing wrong. The combined reservation meant we couldn’t check in online/pick our seats until the airport, as the reservation wasn’t in our name. This left us sitting with the other party on our flight, and my husband and I sitting across the isle from each other ** *** *********.
      Giving our personal information to another traveller is * **** ****** ** ******** *** completely unacceptable.

      we purchased a 11 family member vacation to Puerta Vallarta jan14,2024,,, ******* cancelled all flights that day meanwhile all other aircraft was leaving. ** ******** two days later was able to get us away 3 days late into our 7 day vacation, and no help from selloff, saying they could do nothing to help us, *** ****** **** * ******* ********. selloff a lot of the times I asked for help did not reply to my texts and esp. not on this delay day! I purchased insurance from selloff and asked several times what that included but never did get any replies. ive since called selloff four days ago and asked for a supervisor to return my call but no reply and I honestly don't expect they will call back! I lost half my purchase I in good faith paid selloff for but did not receive what I paid for, I feel selloff should have tried at the very least to help me! I purchased this pkg in summer of 2023 and had extreme difficulty in getting answers from the tour rep of any kind, in fact a day before we left I had to beg for our reservation codes whereas they were to be sent to us 3 weeks before. ****** ******

      I recently had the pleasure of booking a vacation for myself and a group of 6 friends and family through Sell Off Vacations. I cannot express how thrilled we are with the outstanding service our agent, Anna Juanly provided.

      Thank you for reading my families experience at the *********** ****** in Punta Cana. I'd like to provide feedback on the resort and booking through SellOffVacations. To say this is a 5 star resort is laughable *** ** ***** **** **** ** **** ******* ***** I've been working with the same representative for almost a year to find a solution as I can't reach ******* directly going through a 3rd party! I don't know why I thought booking through them would improve our experience, it's made it very painful to get the right people involved.
      The day we arrived the plumbing site wide wasn’t working and we had no working toilets. When it was restored all the running water smelled of intense sewage. By day 3 of our stay, we were hit with a violent bacterial stomach illness with constant 24 hour vomiting. After taking my toddler to their on site doctor after his continued 6 hours of vomiting, we were immediately recommended antibiotics?! It was clear they get these bacterial reports often. The only one of my children not to get sick was my son that was in the middle of antibiotic treatment for an ear infection. We ran into MANY other families there reporting the exact same thing, this wasn’t coincidence.
      I called SelloffVacations from our room asking if we could be transferred elsewhere or seek some sort of help/advice. Nothing, they directed me to the local Punta Cana ******* office that never once answered their phones. Meanwhile, any ******* clients were moved off the resort without question. Selloff didn't care to followup or provide us any solutions.
      Because we became so ill, we ate nothing but boxed cereal and bread for the remaining 4 days of our trip as the buffet food was recycled and reserved throughout our whole week there. The same tray of scrambled eggs were reused for days to the point where they were crusty. The pretty restaurant by the water that drew us to the resort didn't open once during our week stay.
      Will never recommend SellOff to anyone.

      Thank you for the feedback provided by the claimant. We note that this matter has been ongoing since March 2023 and have been managed appropriately to reach a resolution.
      SellOffVacations operates solely an a retail travel agency on behalf of multiple travel suppliers. We hold no product inventory or have any involvement in the travel suppliers’ contract with the resorts in destination.. Any travel product or service that customers acquire through SellOffVacations results in a contractual relationship between the customer and the holiday supplier.
      We would like to clarify that as an agency, we are not able to assist with any issues experienced in destination. Once the travellers leave Canada, the agency no longer has any involvement with the travel arrangements.
      Please understand that any concerns which develop while in destination are not within the jurisdiction of the Travel Agency therefore we cannot be held accountable for any complaints with the product or services provided by the relative service supplier. While we fully understand the upset any issue can result in, all clients must request the intervention of the holiday supplier’s destination representative when they require assistance.
      While we cannot speak on the number of attempts made to contact a ******* Vacations representative, nor the phone number used, SellOffVacations cannot be held accountable for the lack of attention received on the matter. The same applies to the complainant's attempts to have their issues attended to by the resort management.
      Nevertheless, we have thoroughly reviewed the file and note the Resort has offered the claimant a Certificate for a complimentary room up-grade to next higher category at *********** ****** * ******* Cap Cana by *******, as a token of our sincere apology and gesture of goodwill
      In addition ******* vacations is providing the each of the travelling party $200 ******* Dollars ($1000 total) to acknowledge the challenges they had on this particular holiday,
      Accordingly, their post travel claim has been duly compensated as best possible. No further compensation can be offered.
      We trust this clarifies our position on this matter.
