** *** **** **** ************* **************** false & misleading ads just to get you to book. They had a few packages that were $645 pp lower (& different flight times) when I booked & for 6 days prior to me booking & the day after.. No change in price for 7 straight days, I was watching the prices 3 times/day for 7 days. Who knows for how long before I saw it too. SellOff's site said "High demand. 68 packages booked today "when I booked & paid in full. NOTE: I didn't book online. I spoke to a SellOff rep on the phone to verify details online. He confirmed everything & sent a secure link to pay & I got an invoice, conf # & itinerary ASAP. 3 days later, the SellOff rep calls saying that he got an email about a price error & will cancel my vacation & refund me if I don't pay $870 pp MORE! Just easy like that. No big deal. They didn't do anything wrong. Refused to honour the ads or value my loyalty booking with them at least 2x/yr for 10yrs. ** ********* **********. He wouldn't get me a supervisor. Not even a discount on a future trip considering the circumstances. NOTHING, just TOO BAD SO SAD your business means absolutely nothing. ** **** ********* **** ****** ******* ******* ** *** *** ** ********* ******** **** ** **** *** They want all 69 of us to believe that it is reasonable & appropriate that no one noticed the "price error" after the first booking or for 7+ days prior & overlooked it 69 times.**** ** * ******* ********** *********** ** ***** ***** ** * ***** ** ** ********* **** ** ***** if a pricing error is made, it gets honoured, it is not the customer's fault. As soon as it's noticed at the 1st transaction it's corrected right away so 68 other ppl are not mislead. If an error is not noticed until the 2nd or 3rd transaction for some reason, they do not go back to the first 2 customers demanding the difference. It's a company error, **** *** *** It is not the customer's fault! We regret Ms *****'s continued displeasure with the circumstances of her reservation.
As clarified during a phone conversation with her, the pricing discrepancy was as a result of a system glitch on the part of the holiday supplier. SellOffVacations operates as a retail travel agency representing major travel suppliers and we do not have product inventory or contracts with the airlines or resorts. We cannot be held accountable for a mistaken rate offered by a travel supplier and shown on our website.. Agencies do not have the legal capability to alter costs being requested by the suppliers.
When a mistaken rate is discovered by the respective supplier, they reserve the right to not honour it and therefore provides the consumer the options to either pay the additional cost or ultimately choose to have their booking cancelled with a full refund, as per the regulations of the Travel Industry,
We assure you SellOffVacations was not alone with having to communicate the unfortunate news to the prospective travellers. The costing discrepancy affect everyone who booked the holiday package involved - regardless of which travel agency they reserved with.
The email received from the supplier says nothing more than what we have related back to Ms *****, nevertheless. a copy will be sent under separate cover. We will also include a copy of an email message transmitted to Ms ***** subsequent to our phone discussion, for which no reply has been received.

Our ** morning flight to Cancun from Toronto was cancelled Sept. 2 due to lack of crew. The flight was part of a ** Vacations package for 4 nights. Still trying to get my money back. Oh, they think i should have accepted their rebooking option of going to LAX that evening and then a redeye to CUN was ok which is clearly not "travelling on a similar route" in the APPR rules. The vacation was booked with SellOff so i've had to rely on them to get my $ back from ** ********* which they were not able to do. Only now to i find out the SellOff is owned by ******* which is now owned by **. Ugh. We did recieve the flight portion but they won't budge on the hotel etc. So it's off to small claims court. Seem like ** has really gone downhill since getting aquired by ****.SellOffVacations.com

Please be aware that as a retail agency SellOffVacations operates independently of any holiday supplier, regardless of the parent company ownership.
All terms of sale are strictly under the jurisdiction of the supplier and in cases involving APPR by the regulations of the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) .
We respect your option to escalate your issue to Small Claims Court, however, SellOffVacations would not have had any involvement in your claim and therefore would not be liable for any damages.

This was my first transaction with Selloffvacations. Their Hamilton Office manager sold me a flight which included additional fees for baggage services I didn't request (was charged economy standard rate; I need economy light only). Was refused any changes to the flight booking, and received zero monetary compensation for this overpayment. I won't be using them ever again.SellOffVacations.com

We regret your displeasure with our service.
Our records indicate the agent provided the least costly and most direct options available with our supplier.
As per the remarks indicated on our invoice state "Flights are 100% non refundable". Any changes requested to the file would be considered a cancellation and would result in the loss of funds paid. These are airline regulations and are not exclusive to SellOffVacations alone.

They have the honour of being my worst experience dealing with a travel agency. I purchased a flight to London, but the pandemic forced me to cancel. I requested a refund but they would only allow credits (which was against the rules). After clarification by the news about the my right to a refund, I contacted Sell Off Vacation repeatedly to get the issue resolved to no avail. They will simply ignore you. As an agency, SellOffVacations has no travel inventory and hold no funds. All rules and regulations are stipulated by the airline supplying the service.
WestJet Airlines provided refunds on only the flight they cancelled ..There was no obligation for the airline to provide refunds to Mr.Hus as he voluntarily cancelled his anticipated trip to London in exchange for a credit, The flight was operational.A. H.

Reviewing SellOff’s response should give some insight on their approach. To recap, I contacted SellOff for a refund initially. My original direct flight was CANCELLED and I was automatically put on a different flight with a connection. I was informed that a refund was not possible; therefore, I had to get a credit. To say that someone “voluntarily cancelled” because of pandemic measures and forced flight changes is a gross misrepresentation.
Sell Off knew that they had to contact ******* directly as per protocol regarding my inquiries. Subsequent phone calls with SellOff showed that they indeed knew this fact; however, majority of the SellOff agents did not inform me of this and encouraged me to continue my attempts to contact ******* (when they knew i would never get anywhere).
You can buy an airline ticket from many places. What makes the biggest difference is not the ability to sell someone a ticket, but rather what the company does to assist you when something goes wrong. SellOff receives a failing grade back then, and it continues to receive a failing grade now for not taking ANY responsibility. ****** *******Review fromEvan P

1 starThe worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. My vacation was cancelled due to the resort being under construction, which I understood. I was offered a horrible replacement resort or refund. I asked the agents to find me another resort comparable to my original booking. ***** ***** ******* ** ** a manager, George* ***** ** ******** ** continued to try and force feed his option to me. I spoke to his supervisor who was kind, but failed to do anything and just recycled me to a new agent who again tried to force a resort I did not want. They failed to understand that I just wanted a booking that was similar to my original one. 1 starI'm beyond disappointed with customer service experience i have received from both Calgary selloffvacation and *** ******. From what I'm being told it looks like the flight was over booked and it sad the it was me who didn't get a seat on the plane.
I want my full refunded because the disrespect and dismissal of *** *** ****** and selloffvacation staffs have showed me, I will never dear try booking with them ever again. I showed up at the airport exactly 10:25am for 12pm flight with a CARRY ON but I was told I can't check in because they have closed the checkin??? Then an employee for *** ****** started walking me all over the place, just to turn around and tell me call these numbers looks like the flight is full today??? Like what?? I bought a package vacation for me and my family from the selloff-vacations side. I payed the full amount and they send me a confirmation #. After few days, I started receiving calls from them telling me that I have a balance to pay and that if I did not pay my vacation can be affected. I am upset because, I payed the full amount of the vacation and according to then the price was not registered properly. I did payed ( it was not a big amount) but what if I was unable to pay. SEllOffVacations regrest the frustration the customer experienced.
The issue involed the collection of the OPC fee as mandated for all Quebec residents.
If not paid the traveller would not have been eligible for any consideration by the consumer protection authority should the supplier have ceased operating.
The calls for the collection were made for the benefit of the consumer and not as a deceptive practice.
