    My first formal interaction with Emily Smith, was via ****** **** on
    March 17/23. Prior to that, March 16/23, she had forwarded me attachments, e.g. intake letter so meeting could take place. She informed me that her fee for preparing my income tax return would be $100. I promptly forwarded digital receipts to her throughout March’23. I also pursued her in arranging for my hard copy receipts to be delivered to her. She reassured me that she still had clients in Guelph and that she could easily pick them up. Finally, on April 15/23 she picked up those receipts. I , subsequently, left messages and e mails with no response indicating the status of my tax return. She claimed she had sent me emails , stating that they were done- which I couldn’t see in my mail box. On June 9/23 Emily Smith dropped by to deliver my return at which time I paid her the agreed upon amount of $100. 0n June 16/23, viewing my CRA account, I noted that I was charged a late penalty of $226.96 plus interest in amount of $49.73. I attempted to get a response from her to explain this , with no response from her to date. Of note, I continued to be charged for interest on my arrears until a CRA rep could provide me with the necessary guidance around what I owed.

    I hired Emily to complete a New Residential Rental Property Rebate Application for a rental condo my husband and I purchased. Emily received payment from us, $545 on Nov 22, 2022. Payment was required for the application to be submitted. I never received confirmation from Emily that the application was submitted which never sat well with me. I have followed up several times which involves calling and emailing multiple times prior to connecting with her. Most recently I have not heard back from her since the last week of April, and have called and emailed her in excess of over 1 dozen times. Still to this date I have not heard form her. I called the *** myself on Tuesday to inquire about the application, and there is no application under my name, or property address that has been submitted. Emily is still not returning my calls or emails.
