I had a knee surgery on Feb 24, 2025 which left me temporarily disabled/unable to return to work. I have had insurance through Combined for approx 15 yrs covering exactly this. I filed my claim as soon as I got the physician statement back from the surgeon who performed my surgery and was not disabled until the day of my surgery. Combined is refusing to pay my claim because I was not file my claim within 90 days of my accident. My original accident was in October of 2023, but due to Canada’s medical system it is not possible to even get a Dr appointment, never mind surgeon, MRI, consultation, booked in for surgery within 90 days. Based on their interpretation it would be impossible for anyone to be able to make an accident claim for disability within 90 days of an accident if you need surgery and are not disabled until you have the corrective surgery. I want them to provide the service I have been paying for.

April 2024 Christa L. approached me to buy sickness and injury insurance. She made it sound like the claims process and receiving money was very streamlined and was possible to get money with in 24 to 24 of the accident.

Beginning of December I was emitted into the foothills hospital with a life threatening illness and my wife started the claim. She told us there is nothing we can do till I got out of the hospital. So I got out 5 days later and then she said there was a bunch of papers that needed to be filled out by the doctor and I also had to pay out of pocket to get the doctor to fill out the forms. So I got all that done and sent it in to her and she rejected it. I've been out of the hospital for 10days and still have not received a cent. Looking like I won’t be getting any money for a month or so. She has not lifted a finger for me. All she does is gives excuses why she is to busy to help me and clearly doesn’t care about her clients.
