      Ordered two security cameras (on April 29th) from Lorex Corporation but the order came through for three and I was billed and paid for three against my credit card. Called and got one camera cancelled and was to get a credit for $138.76. Supposedly this credit for $138.76 was issued back to my credit card May 2nd; however it has never come through. My credit card company indicates that due to the time frame, Lorex needs to issue another credit. Lorex is insisting they sent it and and I need to resolve with my credit card company. ***** *** ******** ** ********** ******** *** ******* **** ***** *** ** *** ******* Lorex either didn't issue the credit or it was done incorrectly. ** ***** *** **** *** *** ********

      The device was already replaced upon the customer's request. Lorex cameras are among the best available on the market in terms of image quality, and the recordings and images that the customer has submitted are within the expected performance for a home security system.

      when you speak to a Lorex customer service and they ask you is this for home or business and you tell them business it's so hard trying to run a business when you got cameras there are not reliable I tell them I need it for business they will argue with you tell you what you need to C for their benefits is good for them but not for you it's not reliable with no quality and it's always the same thing send me pictures of this take a picture of the recorder verify prove it you can do everything and they still argue with you and tell you that your product is good product it's not customer knows what's best for them and they residents of business and home when a customer ask to speak to a supervisor they hang up on you they are always right you can't win with Lorax no matter how hard you try how can you argue with someone who spend their money with you I have proof the camera do not do what the article says it does I have proved it 100 different type of ways and they will always tell you they're right * ** ***** ***** *** *** * **** ****** **** **** ** * *********

      **** ***** ***** **** *** **** **** * ******** ***** The cameras they sell are great, everything that goes along with them, software, and technology are all bottom tier. False alerts constantly for movement that isn’t there, but a car or animal in the camera view gets ignored. Activity zones *** ******* ** **** don’t work, not to mention thumbnail settings and camera order don’t stay day to day. **** ***** ***** *****

      The detection settings and activity zones are set up properly and at the highest sensitivity. The support team is less than useful, and you admitted in your response that the software and app don’t work properly. Maybe focus on fixing the well known issues instead of arbitrarily defending yourself ***** **** ********* ****** ******

      This is the worse doorbell I have ever seen. It will not notify use when someone is outside our door. The only notification we get is if the doorbell is rung. I have tried to reset it/ reboot it nothing works. Ring brand is better. I bought this doorbell to go along with my cameras. It was a waste of money.

      If you get doorbell calls but not notifications, it sounds like notifications are not allowed. Please open notification settings and allow notifications for Lorex app.
      In Lorex app, you can trigger a test notification by opening Device Settings - Notifications - Can't receive notification? Help section at the bottom of the page.

      Customer Support ******. I can't get help to reset my password. The cameras are absolutely the best cameras. I have the *** and *** great cameras and NVR system. I use to have **** which pale in comparison. I really need help to reset my password so I can access my NVR to adjust my zone on the *** I just added to my system. But the Customer Support is very lacking and I sit on hold for more than 20 minutes until I give up and hang up. I wish Lorex Support team was as outstanding as their engineers who designed their security cameras and products.

      Horrible warranty. I purchased this new from lorex $1500 in January 23 . Installed it few weeks ago . When my new home was build. Bad hard drive right out of the box. They say one year warranty.......It's a bad product I'm stuck with and 10 expensive cameras. I will be looking for new camera company.

Your system was purchased on Jan 19, 2023, therefore, warranty expired in January 2024. If would like to have a longer warranty, we do offer Extend warranty that can be purchased separately.

      Very poor customer service. I needed retaining screws for the battery packs for the wi-fi cameras. I contacted customer service on Nov 20 and they stated they would get back to me in 3-5 business days. Today (Dec 9) I finally got them on chat after a long wait. First they stated that they had already responded to me, they had not, the quoted me $14.99 PER SCREW! These are very small screws used to retain the battery in the camera. ***** ******* **** **** ******** very poor customer service, and obviously practice overpricing ** **** **** ********** ** ******** ****** * **** *** **** ******* ******** ******** ******

      I'm on my second Lorex doorbell , the first unit lasted 3 years , the second unit 3 days ! The issue is that I cannot connect to my network ,the unit will not reboot ! I spent about 350 dollars on the two units in total ! Iwill never buy a Lorex product again !

      This customer is dependent on "his hired electrician" to assist him with the troubleshooting.
      We will authorized the replacement of the doorbell camera as soon as the customer submits his proof of purchase to validate the warranty. After the replacement is received our instructions are for his electrician to call our Tech Support Team and refer to ticket #******.       I wanted to share my experience with Lorex products in hopes of helping others avoid the same frustration. From the start, I’ve encountered multiple issues that have made this system more of a headache than a security solution. Issues include:
      - Unreliable Connectivity: The cameras constantly go offline and online, even after resetting my internet connection. I have ****** fiber and have never had connectivity issues with any other product in my home.
      - False Alarms: Even after adjusting the sensitivity settings, I still get a ton of false alarms. It’s stressful and has made me question the overall usefulness of the system.
      - Shared User Alert Failures: I set up a shared user for monitoring, but they don’t receive alerts on their mobile device and it kicks me out of the app each time she logs in. This is a huge problem since I rely on this feature to share security responsibilities.
      - ***** Integration Issues: Lorex advertises compatibility with *****, but I’ve had no luck getting the system to connect properly. Receiving motion alerts was one of the main reasons I bought it, so the failure here is incredibly disappointing.
      - Alert Snoozing Malfunction: Even when I snooze alerts, they still keep coming through. This defeats the purpose and causes unnecessary interruptions.
      - Flood Lights: Lights trigger with motion occasionally, and when they do turn on, they go off within 30 seconds. There is no option to turn on the lights for an extended period of time.
      To make matters worse, I’ve contacted technical support multiple times, and after spending multiple hours on the phone, they’ve been unable to fix these issues. I even reached out to customer support to request a refund, but because it’s been over 30 days I’m stuck with this faulty product.

      This customer has reported 4 primary issues with his Lorex System. The main one being Unreliable Connectivity. The common reasons relating to iot (wifi) devices in particular are Network related 1) Distance - from router 2) Wireless interference from other devices on the same network 3) physical obstruction 4) other environmental factors. The remaining 3 issues are secondary and can be corrected over the phone by a Lorex Technician, with the customer's cooperation. The wifi system was purchased on May 23, 2024. The first contact from this customer was on August 29, 2024, ONLY to request for a Refund Exception, NOT to Troubleshoot. Our refund policy is 30 days from date of delivery. In our opinion this customer's environment is just not suited for a wifi system. His preference should have been a wired system, and this should have been evident within the first 30 days of usage. The only awareness his review should bring to potential customers seeking to purchase a security system (any brand for that matter) is to figure out if wired or wirless/wifi system will be reliable in their environment (if unique). All this being said, we are willing to take the system back for a full refund if this customer is willing to consider replacing it with a wired system of more or less equal, or greater value.       I purchased a Lorex wireless security system, last year. The problems occurred instantly when trying to set up the system. There was no instructions on how to set up and program the system, which resulted in 3 phone calls on 3 different days with different technicians, trying to set it up. Finally got it to work for a few days, then the batteries started to go dead within 2 or 3 days, Lorex blamed that on the locations of the cameras and said they can’t be placed in a high traffic areas, I tried to adjust the settings and sensitivity but that didn’t work. More phone calls with warranty department. Cameras would not record properly. More problems with cameras and batteries. They had me take down all cameras and change the batteries around in all cameras, still problems and more phone calls. One of the cameras would go dead within hours, finally they sent me a camera, but no battery or wi-fi antenna. I called Lorex about this , and they didn’t believe that I didn’t receive them, They wanted me to take a picture of the box to make sure that I didn’t see them in the box. More phone calls as the recorder didn’t work properly, finally they sent a new recorder. Now camera 3 replaced twice doesn’t work because as it has old firmware installed on it. They have emailed me 12 apparent firmware updates that don’t work. Lorex will do anything to get around giving warranties for the **** they sell. I have called them regarding the problems over 20 times and still having issues.

      The Lorex system was purchased in December of 2023 and sold with our 30 day refund policy and 1 year warranty. Lorex systems are DIY based and come with instructions in the form of a Quick Start Guide or digital manuals that are easily accessible online. Had the issues occurred instantly as stated in the complaint this customer could have excercised his option to return for refund. The first contact we had was only in June of 2024. In addition, not only did we replace the 1 camera and 1 recorder this customer acknowledges, but 2 additional cameras, A replacement antenna and A replacement battery all Brand New from June though August, which failed to be mentioned in this review. The issues are clearly not with the system! The warranty expires in December of 2024. Customer should feel free to contact support who are eager and willing and there really for one purpose ONLY!
